When people say 'they don't make games like they used to' - yes, they do. Pseudoregalia feels like a classic pulled out directly from the mid 90s - by gameplay and visuals. My first playthough took me 6.5 hrs, it was frustrating but satisfying. My second playthrough took me 2.5 hrs and it made me feel like a platformer king. The exploration is great, the platforming is masterful, the atmosphere and music are nostalgia inducing... and it's affordable. I had more fun with this than I had in years.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pseudoregalia is a game with an uncommon level of heart. A 3d metroidvania sporting a beautiful retro 3d art direction who's world is cleanly and stylishly traversed using a progressively acquired SM64 level moveset. The level design is clever and engaging and in times when backtracking is necessitated the combined polish of each environment's atmosphere, layout, and soundtrack keep frustration and boredom to their bare minimum. The game's storytelling, much like it's art direction, is kept to a "less is more" design philosophy which let's the sum of the game's audio/visual/tactile qualities hold the spotlight while still supplying tonal and thematic intrigue as the pieces of the puzzle are assembled. If your'e familiar with the game's Pseudoregalia was likely inspired by, the game may only take a handful of hours to complete, new players unfamiliar with the type of gameplay formula it suits may take longer. Excellent experience. Best played with a controller.
8/10. It's not perfect by any means, but I had fun basically the whole way through, short as it may be. I absolutely do recommend it for anyone fond of 3D platformers and/or metroidvania-type games, and if there's ever a DLC or sequel I'd be interested for sure. Gameplay-wise, it's fantastic. Not much in the way of combat, but the platforming aspect and movement options you're given make up for it. I also LOVE the game's overall art direction. The soundtrack, sound design, environments, and character/enemy designs all fit together to form this kinda fable-like, dark fantasy world. It's gloomy and eerie, but also cozy in a way. The setting of a "weird, twisted dream-world in the mind of a princess" is absolutely nailed. My only complaints with Pseudoregalia have to do with general roughness-around-the-edges. The minimap doesn't denote stuff like save points or time trials once they've been discovered, which would help a lot in this genre of game, where you're supposed to be backtracking often to pick up stuff you missed. Also, the map is tucked away in a quite easily-missable spot. There isn't much of a story impact in this game, either; Basically nothing more to it than what the store page says. You know what you're here for, you explore a bunch, find the stuff needed, you go do it, congrats. No Steam achievements is also a bit of a bummer. At worst, the game feels unfinished in certain areas. With that in mind, I'm willing to forgive the jank because the game doesn't overpromise, price tag included, and the good parts do shine through. It is, indeed, a bite-sized experience, but not one you're going to forget anytime soon. also yeah sybil is hot
Incredibly fun movement for a 3D Platformer. Takes a bit of time to get used to all the abilities, but once you master them you can MOVE. In fact you can move so well, you can easily you some speedrun level tactics to get yourself into areas you are definitely not meant to be in at that point in the game. I probably managed to accidently sequence break three times by bashing sybil's head against a wall, or well, up the wall. Some reviews complain about the repetitive environment, but honestly, I don't get it. The different zones are easily distinguishable and feel quite different from one another in their atmosphere and platforming challenges. I also never got lost too much, and that's despite missing the map upgrade right at the start of the game. Also, backtracking through the zones is not nearly as tedious as some of the other reviews make it seem. Because you're usually backtracking with some new abilities, you can use newly acquired a long jump or a wall glide to easily skip quite a bit of the platforming in older zones, making backtracking actually quite fun as you can challenge yourself to complete old rooms as fast as possible. 10/10 pretty good game for a couple gameplay sessions. (Though not much replayability outside of potentially speedrunning the game, but still pretty good value for 6€)
Eu sem entender porra nenhuma: jogaço da porra
