Project Wingman

Recommend on sale. Less of a game and more like a cheesy anime. Great visuals, solid voice acting, and enjoyable gameplay for kicking back. Wish they did more with the story and plane diversity. There's very few viable jets because almost everything only gets dumb munitions and the boss fights are more annoying than fun.

所有的缺点在解锁深红一号后都是可以接受的

I FEEL THE PEAK IN MY VAINS. I understand why my grandfather was a pilot now, it is a freeing feeling. Rest in peace grandpa. also every source I looked at said I could not run this game with my pc specs. look at my playtime, I just turned all the graphics settings to the lowest, except for textures.

"when you hear the thunder... when the storm... comes for you remember me...." helluva peak game, even tho the devs abandoned it, get it on a sale (if that ever happens, idk), or on full price if you have the money, you wont get disappointed oh and have the dlc evenually, express line waits for you

I bought this on a whim after watching a youtube video about it. I played it in VR with a HOTAS and it was absolutely fantastic. There was a tiny bit of jank in the initial setup (it didn't like reading all of the input buttons on my hotas at first, and I never completely fixed menu navigation), but thats to be expected with any pancake->VR game. Once I got going though.... It was just great. I played the full 10 hours in about two days. I didn't expect the campaign to be as fun as it was. There was a decent amount of actual story there, and the missions were reasonably varied and fun. I didn't expect the amount and quality of voicework in the game! Most of all though, it was an awesome arcade dogfight VR experience. I haven't messed around with the conquest mode at all yet, but I'm excited to, just because the flying around and blowing stuff up is so fun. I got it on sale, but I'd recommend it even at full price if you've got the VR HOTAS setup and an itch for dogfighting.

A love letter to Ace Combat made as only die-hard fans could. The passion and appreciation of the devs is spelled in every moment of the game. If you like Ace Combat, you'll like Wingman. Positives: All the aircraft have cool paint jobs, no need to unlock or buy anything. Makes sense for a merc. Good variety of aircraft and special weapons. They put in lots more sci-fi than other related titles and that makes the world that much richer. It's somewhat reminiscent of Crimson Skies in the regard. It's a fun game that never sacrifices the fun for authenticity or realism. On the other hand, it never goes off the rails. Voice acting is great for an indie game. I only heard one line that really stuck out as goofy in the entire game. I could keep going till I'm blue in the face on things I like about this game. Frankly, I like this more than Ace Combat 7. My only negative point is that if you look close you can see the imperfections inherent in any indie game. However, the dev acknowledge this in a short comment at the end of the campaign and this is far from the worst indie title I've ever played.
