About
Project Three a psychological first-person survival horror made by one person focused on atmosphere, story and defending yourself with melee and weaponry against several creatures. The story is set in the alternate fan-made universe of Half-Life, Valve Corporation's successful series.
The story plays with a different idea taking place after a resonance cascade, an innocent trip to work suddenly turns into a fight against an alien race and the entire US army... but what if the truth is a little different.
The game also features survival elements that make the gameplay even more engaging. One of them is the crowbar, which allows you to block enemy attacks—reducing or even completely negating incoming damage.
Another key element is weapon reloading. Unlike traditional games, you don’t simply collect ammunition; you have to manually load rounds into your magazine. Your weapons are powerful, but don’t forget to keep them stocked—running dry at the wrong moment could be fatal.
A small, fast, and terrifying parasite. This alien creature leaps at its victims, attempting to latch onto their heads and turn them into mindless zombies. While individually weak, they often attack in groups, making them a real threat in confined spaces.
Once a human, now a grotesque husk controlled by a headcrab. These slow but relentless creatures will stop at nothing to tear you apart. Some are more resilient than others, and a well-placed shot is the only way to ensure they stay down for good.
A compact, flying blade drone designed for one thing—shredding anything in its path. Fast, agile, and difficult to hit, Manhacks can quickly overwhelm an unprepared target. Keep your crowbar ready, or risk getting sliced to pieces.
A deadly automated defense system that locks onto movement and fires on sight. These sentry guns are stationary but highly dangerous, capable of cutting down anyone who enters their line of fire.
A lethal explosive trap, usually placed in doorways or narrow corridors. Triggering its laser sensor results in instant death.
🔹 Unforgiving Atmosphere – Experience a world plunged into chaos. Isolation, uncertainty, and the constant threat of death shape every moment of your journey.
🔹 Survival Mechanics – Combat is not just about shooting. Manage your ammunition carefully—you don’t find pre-loaded magazines, so you’ll have to refill them yourself. Every bullet counts.
🔹 Tactical Melee Combat – The crowbar isn’t just a weapon—it’s your lifeline. Use it to block enemy attacks, reducing incoming damage or even deflecting fatal blows.
🔹 Adaptive AI Enemies – Enemies are not just mindless obstacles; they react dynamically to your presence. Whether it’s the relentless pursuit of zombies, the ambush tactics of headcrabs, or the precision of turrets, every encounter is a fight for survival.
🔹 Deadly Environmental Hazards – The world itself is as dangerous as the creatures within it. Tripmines, automated turrets, and other hazards make every step forward a potential deathtrap.
🔹 Immersive Storytelling – Nothing is as it seems. Your reality shifts as you uncover disturbing truths behind the catastrophe. Are you fighting an alien invasion, or is the real enemy something much closer to home?
🔹 High-Risk Combat – Weapons are powerful, but only if used wisely. Careless shooting will leave you defenseless, forcing you to scavenge, plan, and make every shot matter.

Спасибо, но такой HALF-LIFE 3 нам нахооооой не нужен
Look, I see the effort that was put into this but there are just a lot of issues and oversights to the point where I just don't see myself recommending it to anyone in this current state, especially with it being paid. The AI is really not special at all, the movement is slow and clunky, combat is as well, and it just doesn't have those pieces of feedback that the half-life series is known for. I wish the developer luck, but in its current state I just can't recommend it.
This genuinely irks me. Had this on my wishlist since 2021 and it was originally based on 'Epistle 3' by Marc Laidlaw, his personal plot summary of what HL2: Ep 3 would have been, which was the entire reason I wishlisted. The dev then decided to completely redesign the game until it was unrecognisable but, wanting to see it's potential, I continued to have it on my list. I have to say I'm genuinely a bit disappointed and it almost hurts to leave a bad review as I was genuinely excited to see it's potential upon it's release. I even purchased the 'Third time's the charm' BTS content as I was curious to see how the game had evolved and changed over the years as the redesigns weren't very public at all to the point I found myself confused a number of times as to whether or not this was even the same game I had wishlisted 4 years ago. I can respect this is early access, with things often being subject to change in products like this, but it has to be said that having played two other of the devs works ('Chat is Real' and 'Abyssal Reflections'), I can't really say I'm filled with hope that anything here is in any likelihood of being updated or changed any time soon as the latter two games are exactly the same in clunkiness in terms of combat, slow moving protagonists and an infuriating lack of checkpoints.
The orignal Half-Life's tagline was "Run. Think. Shoot. Live." Unfortunately this game has none of this.
LEARN PROPER GAME DESIGN AND THE ABILITY TO TELL A STORY PLEASE I BEG
Motion Blur on by default lol It's astounding just how terrible this game is even for its early access state. It looks like garbage and runs like garbage too. The view has a fisheye, a vignette, and a lot of grain effects to where I think you're trying to go for bodycam footage but not only is that a lame idea but it also just looks like cheeks. The lighting especially sucks to a point where it affects gameplay negatively. The flashlight is more blinding than anything and will be disabled almost entirely if you turn bloom off. When you aim down sights with the pistol you'll barely be able to see what you're aiming at since the light from the flashlight is being reflected off the gun and right into your eyes. During the section with all the colorful lights and floating fans and stuff I genuinely couldn't see what I was walking because it was so dark, I had to pay complete attention to where I was walking so I wouldn't fall off, thereby distracting me from what I was actually supposed to be looking at. The sound design is very unpolished and low quality. Some sounds seem ripped from the official Half Life games but somehow with worse sound quality than in those games. The crowbar swing sound cuts off and the fifteen gorgillion explosions in the tripmined section will all overlap and peak, which is admittedly kinda funny when it happens. The gameplay itself sucks, the movement is slow and clunky. The jump feels very heavy it doesn't even feel like you were able to jump more than a foots length, especially prevalent in the tripmine section. The crowbar kills fine but the block feels tacked on, you don't need it for any encounter and doesn't seem to have any effect on headcrabs. The pistol model feels out of place in a Half Life setting, but it also doesn't feel powerful enough for how long it takes to reload it. Bugs are to be expected and everything but there's so many issues that should've been noted during a playtest that its actually embarrassing. For instance, the zombie's shirt will change color on death sometimes and if you get swarmed up against a wall by a group of them they can shove you into the wall and softlock you. The headcrabs and zombies fall with moon gravity, the turrets are a joke since you can literally jump over or duck under the laser. Reloading is extremely annoying, if you press the reload key twice in the same second, you will start to take out the mag but then before you can put bullets in it it'll immediately slot the empty mag back in since that second key press queued the action ahead of you. The one thing I really like though is the death screen. It's really funny when "YOU ARE DEAD" start panning across your screen. Not worth playing or even looking at.
its eternity in there
This game is genuine ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It is an insult to half life, half life fans and valve how terrible this game is. The worst part is that it COSTS MONEY, and you need even more money to see the behind the scenes video. Don't give money to these devs, you would genuinely get a better experience from buying Hunt down the Freeman
Even for early access it's pretty terrible. Plus it has stolen assets.
