A really fun and creative puzzle game that plays like some sort of weird hybrid of Picross and those escape the maze puzzles you'd play in elementary school. Basically, you have to draw lines using a specific pattern and number of spaces, sometimes having to leave certain areas blank in order to make a larger, complete picture. If you make the wrong move, you'll have to backtrack. It's very logically engaging in that regard, you really have to think in the larger, harder puzzles. It looks difficult at first but once you get into it, it's genuinely addictive. People complain about the price but if you wait for a sale, you can get the game for like 3 bucks and it has over 1000 puzzles available. It's a steal imo.

I absolutely loved this game when I used to play it back on my Switch! But unfortunately it's useless on my system (desktop PC, Win11, 7800X3d/4080S, 4K). Just getting a reasonable resolution to display properly is tricky enough, then the mouse cursor is way off and only covers 2/3 of the game screen. After a lot of messing with various windowed/fullscreen modes and resolutions (including setting different Steam launch options which the game often ignored), I finally managed to get a balance of half decent display mode with cursor aligning properly... well then the scroll wheel doesn't work, and eventually the cursor simply disappears from the game screen. Tried keyboard and controller too but still so many issues! It seems to work OK on my Steam Deck so far but may be fiddly on the small touch screen. especially once I reach the larger puzzles again (I'm not far into this playthrough yet so still on the smaller ones), this is the only reason I haven't refunded this one. TBH as I mostly game on my desktop I usually just load up Threaded instead. Such a shame as I know this is a great little puzzle game! I'm guessing there will be no more fixes or updates - so buy with caution and be prepared to go through the refund process if need be. Seems like I'm in the minority here, maybe other people have better luck!
Was looking forward to playing this one as I liked Piczle Cross: Adventure, but it is terribly buggy and frustrating as a result. Playing with mouse would be the easiest way to connect the dots, but the moment you click out of the window or do anything with the keyboard, the mouse cursor completely vanishes and doesn't reappear until you restart the game, forcing you to use keyboard or controller (both are subpar for a game like this). The resolution randomly resets itself every time you restart the game as well. Also, using keyboard or controller doesn't let you easily restart a puzzle and an undo function is seemingly missing (easy enough to undo things with a mouse, less so with keyboard or controller), so the puzzle comes more from dealing with the controls and bugs than figuring out the game itself. The music also overlaps with itself and the game runs oddly slow, with long animations playing after every puzzle when you just want to move on. I feel like those things would have easily been recognizable as problems if the game was tested, which doesn't seem to be the case. Sadly, I have to give this a thumbs down as the game seems abandoned and those bugs will likely never be fixed.
I've been playing this game for quite some time and have a lot of fun with it. To me it's the perfect blend between nonograms and paint by numbers, as the puzzle grow in difficulty, the artwork become really beautiful As you may have noticed, there are a lot of mixed or negative reviews due to a few technical difficulties. After this many hours playing, the only issue I ever encountered is the zoom, you need to be at the edge of the panel to use the scroll of your mouse properly. That's it, that's the only issue I faced, I believe the others have been fixed or I would have encountered them. If you're considering playing it on steam link, know that it hasn't been optimized for it, instead consider buying the mobile or tablet version, the packages are often given for free. I have it on phone and on Steam, redoing the same puzzle isn't an issue as you'll probably only learn one for an achievement and forget the others as you go.
Oh my goodness, there are simply SO MANY puzzles to solve in this puzzle game. Of course, that was kinda expected, give that this is the definitive, Director's Cut version of it with 1100 puzzles and concept art advertised right on the store page. But it really sunk in after spending over two full days worth of time to get all of the achievements and still having less than 25% of the game actually cleared. It has been a fun experience so far, with a variety of challenges to sink my teeth into and great pixel art to create. The Story Mode levels and, well, story, were very cute, and I think would help ease in potential players unused to this kind of experience. There is also a nice bit of leniency, where if you find a solution that looks askew because it was not intended (which is exceedingly rare but happened to me once when a couple of windows on a building ended up too close to each other), it still counts as complete. I must admit that there were some bothersome tech issues; namely, that I played with a mouse but sometimes resizing the puzzle made my cursor vanish until closing and reopening the game. Still, my time was overall positive, and so I would recommend this game to puzzle lovers that love the rush of every pixel being in its perfect place.
Piczle.
