Yeah this ♥♥♥♥ was definitely made by an edgy 14 year old who wants to make his own Cruelty Squad but clearly doesn't understand what makes Cruelty Squad so good to begin with.
max prestige lightskin ishowspeed gameplay mixxed with mickey mouse clubhouse horror elements together with tung tung tung sahur crazy penis music . . . . . . 👍
4/10
I think what a lot of Cruelty Squad inspired games get wrong is that Cruelty Squad had a very tight and fun game-play loop with a lot of fun mechanics thrown in. This just seems like a game that tries to be an esoteric immersive sim-ish FPS with puzzle elements, fails at it, and distracts you from the failure with psychedelic visuals. I didn't care for the puzzles, I was half confused as it is and the game decides to throw puzzles and homicidal cacti at me. The noises are annoying. I can tell the dev put effort into this and maybe the game gets good after you exit the cactus-filled sewers. But it didn't make a great first impression.

I can't recommend Absolute Full-Life. I like the surreal art style and the way characters/enemies are modeled. The soundtrack is alright too, very fitting of the world. The saving at checkpoints and finding keys to progress I also enjoyed. The intro, although super edgy, was actually quite well done. The game also ran well for me hitting 144fps with no issues. However, there are some really glaring issues. Unfortunately, these are hindering enough for me to not continue playing. Firstly, the gunplay is attrocious, the weapons aren't hit scan, they all fire out a slow projectile which damages the enemy meaning hitting them is hard enough. On top of that, the guns essentially do no damage at all and ammo is super scarce. Gunplay feels really bad and unresponsive. The grenades are literally the only viable weapon I found that could deal with the enemies well. Secondly, the player hitbox is way too big. You can barely approach the catctus at the start of the game to disable them without taking damage yourself. You'll be constantly taking damage through walls and around corners during fights and enemies hit you from so far away that using the crowbar isn't viable. Finally, there is a bug where if you talk to an NPC and you've turned off the 'Warping' setting, it turns it back on everytime, which is a complete vomit-fest. Overall, I do think this game can be made into a fun experience. Adjust some of the things above and I think it could actually be quite good.
This Game succeeds in one thing, making the user feel physically ill. I really like games with psychedelic visuals and esoteric systems, so I don't think it's just a case of "the ugly graphics looks bad". Other than that it is a poorly put together Game. Normally these kinds of games have some sort of creative substance, but this feels like it's been put together on 'meme value'. None of the textures were actually interesting to look at, nor were the environments to explore. There wasn't much to find and it was very obvious where to go at every point. The Game was not mysterious. The game seems to be built around this atmosphere of profoundness and mystery but it's all fake, though perhaps that is in some way the point. There are no survival-horror elements and it fails as an FPS. The enemy designs I got to experience were not interesting to engage with. The weeping angel style cactus can be knocked over but then still has an active hitbox the frame it recovers, feeling very janky. There are no movement options. Moving in combat does not seem to matter nor does the environment, leaving it to feel very shallow as an FPS. The melee combat is horrendous and blocking doesn't seem to do anything. I did like the pistol, it had a neat reload. The price tag on this is outrageous, even on sale it's bad. It's not creative, it's not fun, it's not even profound. It felt like a roblox elevator game.
i have no idea how to feel about what I just went through
Look, I wanted to like the game. I really did because I love avant-garde-type games, but this game SUCKED. For one, it's kind of crazy how most of the story is vague and basically ends with, "You are mentally ill and in an asylum." That would be no issue if, for some reason, the level design didn't suck for what the game is trying to achieve. especially considering the poorly slapped-on pixelation filter makes it impossible to aim far and also hampers platforming at times. (Edit, I'm aware its optional. but clearly the charm lies in the filter considering dev added a achievement to play between iirc 0.01-0.15 for the final boss, i played at 0.3 and it still was all but impossible to aim). For two, there's no reason why it's basically impossible to get ammo or organs consistently. I really wonder why they didn't bother to make it more consistent considering the merchant is super helpful at times. For three, it's corny, though more of a hindrance than charming and overall, the game is a janky, inconsistent mess. The confusing timing, bugs, control scheme, and the lack of support really piss me off. Hoping the sniper game is better. Considering this piece of performative ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is not worth 15 dollars of anyone's time or money.
