With a variety of perk rolls and game rules, you can create a unique experience each time you play!

A massive immersive sim world where you choose how you engage with problems and threats. With a mix of tense gun-play, diverse sets of tools and equipment, and no scripted solutions or hand-holding:
You are in-charge of your own decisions!
You are responsible for your own mistakes...

Delve into dark, hidden dungeons.
Navigate treacherous Anomalies.
Face hideous monsters born of a cursed past.

In The Exclusion Zone, you're not always just a hired gun, you're also going to need to apply detective skills and deductive reasoning to find answers...
Complete Contracts and Missions by exploring the world, chasing leads and finding clues! Sometimes the truth can be stranger than any anomaly or mutant...

Among the many mysteries of the Zone, there are also powerful artifacts.
They can grant passive buffs, or when charged with Eather, cast seemingly magical effects.
Some can even be crafted into exotic firearms, allowing you to exploit their secrets in combat!
Be careful, you're not the only one hunting out here...

Be prepared to discern friend from foe out in the field!
Several factions are vying for power out in the Zone. Some looking to control its secrets, others seeking to destroy the very source of its anomalies.
It's up to you to decide who you're willing to work with, or even join should they convince you...

To recal my first S.T.A.L.K.E.R experience 20 years ago. I start out with a pistol, get a quest, start exploring one way and get killed by bandits. I reload, kill bandits and now I have a sawedoff shotgun. Kill more bandits. Explore more and get killed by the military. Quit playing when my second PC died. To recal my first Project Silverfish. I start out as a freelancer with a pistol, get a quest, start exploring one way and get killed by orange bandits (Insurrectionists). I respawn, go out to kill those bandits ,but now there annomolies in the area. Cool. I get attacked, but managed to kill differant bandits (scavengers). Explore more and get killed by the military. I hope this PC wont die. Played with multiple characters, played around with the cheat menu for fun and profit. The game has enough custom difficulty options. Put in some custom Radio and TV contend. Still play regulary. I can't wait to see the end product.
Did waiting for the new Fallout main line game got boring? Was STALKER 2 a bit of a let down? Maybe waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 to git gud gave you the, cyber-blue(ball)s? Are you fan of exploration in an age where exploration is delicated to procedural generated slop engines? Well then friend, I have some good news for you! Project Silverfish is not JUST a furry game, it's not JUST a STALKER-lite, it's not JUST a survival post apocalyptic fps... I mean, it's all those things put together, with the potential of being so much more. Yes, updates take a while, because the person behind this project thought they can do it all on their own, that clever little ♥♥♥♥... but at least you are guaranteed a unified and focused vision, a passion project that's already worth more than the majority of triple A games of the past half decade. Now, if only Siris would hire a couple more people and get a roadmap, that would be greaaaaaat...

I like the game, though my only real issue? The caliber that's on the lever action rifle is a bit weird. I've never heard of a lever action chambered in 45ACP, the only ones that are close is my dad's that's chambered in 44magnum, or my personal which is chambered in 45-70, but if there is please inform me, but my main complaint and it isn't big, for your character having digitigrade legs, I expected to move a bit faster. But other then that, I do like the game so a thumbs up from me.
This game sucked me in. If you like sandbox, make your own fun, do "whatever" (within the confines of the game), this is the game for you. Gunplay is fun, arcadey with some realistic features (bullets travel, different calibers matter, things like muzzle velocity affect how fast the bullet travels, etc). Only complaint I have is its hard to tell if enemies are armored or not, just have to remember what enemy is what, but other than that, not much complaint on the combat front. Still in EA so there's more to come, but what's here is really engaging and enjoyable.
I'll start out with the bad. My only gripe with this game is the enemies awareness and aim. The enemies will fire upon you before you even have a chance to smell them. Many times I have to wait for them to fire on me before I can identify friendly or hostile. My recommendation for anyone in this situation, learn the zones and who usually goes through them, and get binoculars or scoped weapons asap. As for the good and everything else. The world design feels great. The anomalies feel horrifying, the scares are spooky. The anomalies are varied in terms of lethality, some being very minor nuisances to others being a take cover asap. The rare enemies truly give you fear when you come across them. And there's many more I haven't experienced yet. The underlying story has enough meat to have a cohesive bond to it. You'll piece together many different sources of information and books. The journaling system is a nice change from the regular bestiaries that are provided to you in other games. It feels unique, and you can take pictures and notes yourself to make your own database of monsters and places. Overall an 8/10 for me with the enemies bringing it down for me (until later game, then it becomes a 10/10).
Holy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ does climbing in this game suck. Ladders, chains, you name it. 80% of my deaths have been to falling cus of the horrible climbing mechanic.
Really enjoyed playing this and hope i forget the experience so I can play it again when its fully released. Its immersive, mysterious, tense, and punishing. I loved how it made me feel on edge, its incredibly rare for a game to pull me in so strongly. The immersive elements are fantastic. Right now its $30 but I'd say that's plenty fair as its literally one of the better games I've ever played. I have not played any other stalker like games so I don't know how they compare. But go buy it, the developer clearly cares about the experience they are providing. It doesn't feel like assets thrown together to burn your time in exchange for money. Your time is most valuable and this game is worth it.
