♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, that will take control of your character and not let you play the game, because you made the wrong choice, 3 missions Prior and it will ♥♥♥♥ you over, just to prove a point. Combat lock on is awful, no way to zoom out so your right up in your characters business and not able to see anything going on around you. Did I mention there is a cash shop? Go watch the Anime or Read the Novel, this game is not it.
So it's a phone game. I should of done my research. It has controls. They aren't responsive, but they do exist. Not worth playing.
tl;dr you probably don't want this but if you think you want it you could try it on sale It's not as bad as I expected but not as good as I'd hope. Basically the only game that's going to let you live out the fantasy of piloting a TSF, and you're still not quite gonna get that real robot military experience until someone mods it into Arma 4 or something lol. Project Mikhail is pretty ugly and kinda laggy til I forced it to use my proper graphics card, story is trimmed down to the point of being nearly incoherent... But in some ways it makes me nostalgic for some of the old school Gundam Federation vs Zeon or Gundam vs Zeta Gundam games. You're getting the spark notes version of the plot at any spot where battles took place, and getting to do goofy kitbashing like Gundam Breaker series just without much aesthetic difference because of TSF development lore. A lot of the music is lifted straight from the VN which is a nice touch, and lots of familiar CGs used for mission backdrops and stuff. Controls are kinda rough to be honest I recommend toggling the hold B to walk so that you walk by default and at least have a way to shoot without constant hiccups with your cannons while moving. They didn't really make the HUD look accurate to the VNs, either, so that's a bit disappointing. Honestly for $14 on sale you could do much worse, but if you don't want to play ANYTHING rough definitely steer clear of this.
turning off auto everything is a MUST to play this game effectively Play gearbits if you want mech vs bug combat only play this game if you wanna brain off hack n slash
They took the money and ran.
Needs work, the controls for PC are very sluggish and janky. If there was an option between Recommend and Not Recommend, I would take that, but for right now, I'm going to have to say I can't recommend it.
Not as bad as people say actually I'd say I have a lot of fun with it. Only issues I think are is just probably the camera. The default settings are pretty bad and if you play with a controller the movement may feel clunky so I recommend keyboard and mouse. I also say change the settings and turn everything to manual, this will make the game soooo much better. Also the combat really picks up once you get 2nd gen Tsfs. I hope this review helps.
I've never experienced such trash controls in a game. the controls are so bad the game is nearly unplayable.
Very fun game, combat is somewhat clunky and if you want the full story I would recommend going through the visual novels.
