Strong recommendation for this game based on my years of experience with the predecessor TLSF and my first two seasons with my HISTORIC career having struggled to a combined 3-22-1 record with the 1960-61 Dallas Cowboys. Fortunately I had a good draft in preparation for 1962. Compared to TLSF the mechanics seem the same, now with substantial improvements and exciting features...and a much wiser AI. The games shines for its statistical veracity as well as its ability to expose you to the joys and frustrations of real football. As for veracity - In my TLSF run I had entered all rosters along with player and team values for every season from 1960 - 1981. I played Dallas and simmed all other games. Each season I would tweak values in order to obtain more realism in terms of plays per game; points per team per game; completion percentage; average yards rushing or allowed,...everything... and matched my own player and extensive team statistics with those recorded on sites such as ProFootballReference. [ a lot of work...but fun!] I can easily say that the game passes this test. As for my current PSF endeavor, the fun is in building a team out of misfits into what may turn out to be a championship team. There have been real-life frustrations. You should expect the same: Like a penalty at the worst time; a turnover; having your QB go into a slump; having a weak opponent QB suddenly acquiring the poise of Joe Montana, the arm of John Elway and the accuracy of a Ken Anderson as he cuts through your "Doomsday Defense" like a hot knife through butter, etc. However, preparation usually prevails. Before each match there are opponent stats and game plans to look over. With TLSF one could look over an opponent's tendencies, such as what he'd likely call in particular situations. But with PSF the stats, game plans and player ratings should suffice. My goal with PSF is to build a championship team and see how close these seasons come to past reality. This time around it is tougher, as my lousy start indicates. The mods and other features make it all-the-more interesting. I am using the same player and team values I had accrued during my TLSF run. Kudos to Kerry and designers. I would be happy to give the game an A+ - if only the 60-88 Cowboys deployed the Landry Shift. It may not befuddle the defense AI, but it would look like the Dallas Cowboys. Maybe 2028? joe

Steam took my money then sold me some "We're not responsible for games that we don't make" BS line. Game crashes every time, but there's no assistance to be had. Crooks.
