A POMU NAO É FURRY CARALHOOOOOO
Awesome combat system. It makes you feel motivated to discover a new combo or sequence you can do against an enemy. The history and the music keeps me totally engaged.
Do you like the following: [ ] Borderline furry nonsense [ ] Dev trauma dump self-inserts [ ] Overly obvious inspiration inserts [ ] Those old MSPaint flash animations from Homestuck [ ] Way, waaaay too many words in your intros where a simple 30 second cutscene would fill in the story [ ] The one-liners, quips, and saccharine writing style of modern Marvel/Disney movies [ ] Janky hitboxes [ ] Weird, half-baked mechanics [ ] What seems like movement tracking/input reading [ ] Horrible controls* [ ] Games calling themselves MVs but are actually just platformers where you sometimes unlock abilities If you checked more than two of these boxes a.) this game is for you, and b.) stop it, get some help. This game tries to do too many things to do any one thing well. There's a weirdly mathed-out skill tree, fighting/combo mechanics that don't always work, gun mechanics and are very unintuitive, movement options that are also unintuitive...it's like a bad soup. The story would be good, if not for the "haha wasn't Homestuck cool," and, "hey, I know someone on Deviantart that does really good furry stuff, let's hire them" nonsense. The into was way, way overlong... Seriously, just do a quick cutscene and let the player get into the action. There are plenty of ways to establish lore and world building without being so heavy handed. Weird design choices like the dash cooldown, and the imbalanced normal enemy design and placement also drag this game down. Hard. If you like MVs, skip this. If you're into furries and furry accessories, you might actually like this, I dunno. For me, I am putting this down and I am not picking it up again. * Seriously, did a crab design the controls? Little lobster with pincers, maybe?
It's a worthwhile play. The combat mechanics are genuinely fun to play around with. The upgrades you gain along the way make you feel more and more capable. Even having not unlocked every ability, there was a surprising amount of depth in the different actions and techniques you could do. The bosses felt challenging and unique but not overwhelming. Pomu and the characters she meets along the way always felt interesting and fun. Every dialogue and bit of lore added to the experience. This current version did have a few rough edges. The prologue seemed to be the most difficult segment due to the lack of upgrades and sparse save points. Occasional bugs and typos may pop up once in a while, however it never detracts from the experience as a whole. Pretty art, catchy music and fun combat. Worth the price.
Very cute art style, story and game! Gameplay is also very fun!
Recomendado.
Oh man, this looks sooooo great. And the music is *chef kiss*.
