Prince of Persia The Lost Crown

The tightest platforming, the juiciest movement, and inspired environments. I can't believe i slept on this game. It's my current top reco for a metroidvania in 2026

After completing The Lost Crown, I can finally say I’ve completed every Prince of Persia game ever released. Yes, all 17 of them. I’ve been with this series since the early days, and looking back, it’s been an incredible experience. I still remember playing the original game on a DOS computer at my dad’s store back in 1995. I never imagined that one day I’d finish every game in the franchise. I hope they make more in the future. Eagerly waiting on the Sands of Time remake. Till then.. GG!

Un excelente Metroidvania que honra la saga Prince of Persia. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown es, sin duda, uno de los mejores Metroidvanias que he jugado en los últimos años. Si bien lo coloco por debajo de joyas absolutas como Hollow Knight, Silksong y Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, esto no le quita mérito en absoluto. Ubisoft se tomó muy en serio el genero y entrego un título lleno de cariño, respeto a la saga y muchísimo detalle. El gameplay es fluido, preciso y extremadamente satisfactorio. Las habilidades de tiempo se sienten originales y se integran de maravilla tanto en la exploración como en los combates. La progresión es excelente, el backtracking está muy bien pensado y el mapa es grande, hermoso y lleno de secretos. Puntos destacados: Historia: 10/10 — Más interesante de lo que esperaba. Arte y dirección visual: 9/10 — Estiloso, colorido y con una identidad muy fuerte. Música: 9/10 — Excelente, especialmente en los momentos épicos. Gameplay y combate: 9/10 — Muy pulido y adictivo. Dificultad: 6/10 — Justa, con buen balance (se puede ajustar hasta super novato hasta extremista). Lo completé al 100% en aproximadamente 40 horas. El DLC no me pareció necesario si buscas solo disfrutar el juego base (no aporta mucho), pero es obligatorio si quieres el 100%. Conclusión: Es un Must Play para cualquier fan de los Metroidvanias. Se nota el amor y el esfuerzo que pusieron. Si Ubisoft decide hacer una secuela, yo seré de los primeros en comprarla. Recomendadísimo.

I think I need to play more Metroidvania games, because I'm always surprised by how much fun I have when I do. This game is perfectly satisfying enough in every element it needs to be - traversal, exploration, challenge, sandbox creativity, story, combat, length, music, design, etc. The evolution of gameplay plays out at a good pace, and I thought every new ability stood out well and made me feel significantly more able - even late in the game. Can't believe I'm saying this, but great job, Ubisoft.

Редкий пример когда игра от юбисофт реально хорошая. Если говорит про саму игру, то это хорошая метроидвания, с шикарными боевкой\акробатикой и хорошим левел-дизайном. Про сюжет ничего не буду говорит, только то что всё же жадность издателя взяла верх из за чего вырезали персонажа и часть геймплея в угоду сомнительного длс. Игру рекомендую для прохождения.

cool mechanics, great looks and some very interesting bosses. the "save to Ubisoft cloud" mechanic is extremely annoying if you're trying to play this on Steam Deck+Desktop but you can work with it .

One of the best metroidvanias out there. Very satisfying combat, special abilities and exploration

Great game from a terrible company.

Bit of fresh air after a series of boring and cliché games. Mechanics and challenges are amazing. Music is outstanding!! The plot and narrative is quite simple but I guess this wasn’t the main focus.
