An exceptional 3D platformer filled to the brim with creativity and whimsy. Plenty of variety in terms of locations, objectives, etc. Controls are tight and fluid; it feels similar to games like Super Mario Sunshine. The game is light in terms of narrative, but its characters and stories are all charming. Considering this game has been hidden away in my Steam library for years, it was an amazing surprise to finally play it and see just how good it truly is

The game looks very unpolished and bootleg in term of visuals but it plays well and is pretty fun. Its 3d platforming movement works well and moving around is fun. There are a lot of objectives and stuff to collect and is fun............ and is fun.

Played this game from early access to release during highschool, but just as fun today! Feels like a classic 3D platformer, with charming characters and worlds to boot. 10/10 would play and recommend again!

An excellent 3D plateformer that has a huge Mario 64 vibe. I had such a good time with it that after 100%ing the game i will do a new game plus to platinum it.

Great platformer for everyone who needs the itch for something like Super Mario 64, but omg this New Game+ Mode is just beyond lazy. Flipping the levels and just give you one hitpoint? Nah man, that wasnt the play. But otherwise its fantastic, would recommend it other friends.

i only played this game because i think dantdm played it like one time and from what i remember of it its like a collectathon game or something tbh id rather play yooka laylee at least that has a quirky buddy duo that my autistic brain can latch onto idk this game is probably just ok im never playing it again though

Poi is the best version of Super Mario Sunshine I’ve ever played that isn’t actually Super Mario Sunshine. I first picked up Poi back in 2017 for my Nintendo Switch. It was a $20 bargain-bin find at GameStop, and I wasn’t expecting much. I just needed something to keep me busy until Super Mario Odyssey dropped. But as soon as I started playing, it became clear this wasn’t just a filler title. Poi had something special. I didn’t finish it back then. Life got in the way, and the game got left behind. Fast-forward a few years, and I found it again on PC for just a couple of bucks. Why not give it another shot? I thought. Little did I know, I was about to fall in love with Poi all over again. This time, I finished the entire thing. Not only did I beat the game, but I went all-out, collecting every single achievement—even the brutal New Game+ mode. And you know what? I loved every minute of it. It reminded me why I adore 3D platformers in the first place. Sure, Poi might not have the most memorable aesthetics or the most groundbreaking story. But beneath its flaws, this game is overflowing with passion and soul. For a title made by just two developers, it’s amazing how much care and polish went into every detail. Every jump, every collectible, and every level feels like it was crafted with love. Throughout the game, you'll travel to four main worlds, along with some bonus areas and plenty of hidden goodies to discover. The level design is tight, and the controls are buttery smooth. Poi hits that sweet spot where it’s challenging enough to keep you on your toes, but fair enough that you know every mistake is on you. That’s something even big-budget titles don’t always get right. And let’s talk about the gameplay. It’s some of the best platforming I’ve played in years. Poi takes me back to the golden age of 3D platformers, when games were simple, fun, and full of charm. The kind of game where you lose track of time because you’re having too much fun. So, if you’ve got a few dollars and a craving for some quality platforming, give Poi a shot. You might just find yourself collecting every achievement, too.

Honestly? I was pretty surprised by the quality of this game. Hive it a try if you're nostalgic of Mario64
