Very good indie Metroidvania
Maybe the best indie metroidvania out there.
It saddens me that I can't recommend this, but unfortunately a combination of unity stutter, oversensitive analog stick controls, and awful keyboard rebinds mean that I cannot recommend the game. The dev clearly made an effort with this, I just wish he could do a little more... I know the dev is going to read this so, to fix the unity stutter issue, please check this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrgZzrtZe_4 (it is the world that is stuttering). I will update my review and repurchase the game if the issues are fixed.
I really liked this game and look forward to the creator's future efforts. It was well worth the price. It's a little unrefined, but I had more fun with this game than with many other more polished games.
I think the game seemed fine so far but I got frustrated and quit when I was first playing it. Now that I tried to return to it through Wine as I switched from Windows to Linux in the meantime, I couldn't even run the main menu, which is extremely poorly optimized. The game suffers from some optimization problems, as it's extremely heavy for a simple 2D pixel art game. I think its from the parallax. Anyway much love bro I found the game thru your youtube channel.
This game is possible to 100% complete in the span of a single day. I should know, as I just did that. Bear that in mind if you're looking to purchase it. Despite its short length, I loved playing this game. The combat was fun, the platforming not bad at all, and the level design was enjoyable to play through. Now, there were a few points of annoyance for me. You cannot dash while not already moving for some reason. The button just doesn't do anything by itself. This combines with the fact that you lose all momentum when you get hit to result in a number of situations where you will attempt to dodge and fail to. Also, dying between save spots just reverts your save, meaning that you will essentially have to retrace your steps to pick up all the items you picked up last time before you died. While the music is good, the tracks repeat just a bit too often for how much time you'll be spending in their respective areas. The bosses are easy-ish, but all of them except for one (Got a bit aHEAD of himself. Should have quit while he was aHEAD. Needs to get his HEAD in the game.) are fairly engaging, with neat character designs and attacks. On that note, the animations in this game are phenomenal. I love the designs of the enemies and the player character, although there is little enemy variety across the different areas. The sound design is wonderful, and I like the way the menus are themed like a little notebook. My only wish is that there were more of it. As such, I'd recommend this game to anyone who doesn't mind the lack of length.
help !!! missing a mask, and the only room that i can't open is the BCC room at the bottom left, please tell me how to open it,I've defeated the final boss, and get the ENDING B
Bought this game because of a recommendation and absolutely loved it. It is a short but great metroidvania!
A short and sweet metroidvania. Although a bit clunky at times.
I'd like to like this game, but the corrupted save files were constant. Then, the blast blight ability wouldn't work/charge. I'd pass on this until more of the bugs can be fixed.
