I had a good time playing through this and thought they had a good mix of different mechanics and scenarios to keep me immersed in the game. I played it using Steam link on my Quest 3 and didn't have any issues with performance or controls. I will mention that when I tried playing it on my Index it did not go so well but after researching it seems a lot of people had issues using any headset other than a quest/rift so keep that in mind. Graphics were a little better than what I expected due to it's age and playing a game inside a game takes a little getting use to. It took me around 10 hours to fully complete with all achievements. It was definitely fun and I got my moneys worth, so if it looks interesting to you and your using a Quest/Rift headset give a try
Played with Oculus Quest 2 + Virtual Desktop + Xbox One S Controller. Worked with no issues. This is the first game in the Pixel Ripped series. If you wan to play them all, you need to play this one before Pixel Ripped 1995. I played it with my xbox controller rather than the quest controllers
Super fun quirky short game. It doesn't overstay its welcome and manages to stay fresh throughout.
Fantastic game, a must buy VR title! Played on the quest 3 with Steam link. Had to use a community control option but after that it worked flawlessly.
Cute, but it's pretty rough around the edges. I'm also not a big fan of how evil you have to be to the teacher.
The game puts you in the shoes of a student who plays video games in class and has to hide it from her teacher. It's funny, clever and relatable. It's not only challenging to progress in the game we're playing in the virtual console, but especially to do so while paying attention to what's going around in your environment. I loved it, it was an experience like no other, and I can't wait to play the other games from the series. And it feels a bit ironic to play a 2D retro-inspired game with a VR headset, which makes the experience somewhat funny.
Short but fun. It's like playing retro games in VR.
I would give this a neutral rating if I could. I found it funny enough to play through once, but I would recommend playing 1995 instead. It does nearly everything this game does but it feels much better. It lets you spend more time playing games than trying to distract the teacher. I could also see myself replaying parts of that game to find collectibles unlike in this one where you just wanted to finish the level.
