I launched rockets! Note to first timers that you need all the rocket components floating around to launch the rocket - no more will spawn if you use them on the ghost/rotate/placement special actions. This means that you will have to do one puzzle twice in order to get the three special action achievements and the "launch" achievement for the same puzzle. Hopefully you read this before you decide to do the biggest puzzle first...and have to do the puzzle all over again to get the launch achievement as well like I did.
Honestly, I've no clue where this game came from in my library. Pros: - You can kill the spaceman by dropping him from the top of the screen. - Easy achievements Cons: - The background noise is painful and loud. Muting the music will mute all sounds in-game and therefore you get no "click" sound for placing a piece correctly. - The puzzles are far too easy. - Not enough puzzles for the price that you pay whatsoever. They are also the world's most generic space images and I'd have preferred there to be images of galaxies etc.

Pixel Puzzles 2: Space is a tranquil and straightforward digital jigsaw puzzle game developed and published by Pixel Puzzles. As the title suggests, it focuses entirely on the theme of outer space, offering a collection of puzzles featuring rockets, planets, astronauts, and cosmic vistas. The game aims to recreate the tactile satisfaction of assembling a physical jigsaw puzzle while adding a touch of interactivity through its digital design. It provides a relaxing alternative to fast-paced or competitive games, encouraging players to take their time and immerse themselves in the calming act of placing pieces together until a full picture emerges. With a clean interface and an emphasis on simplicity, the game succeeds in delivering a meditative experience that appeals to those looking to unwind rather than chase high scores or achievements. The presentation is polished but minimalist, perfectly suited to the type of experience the developers intended. The space-themed images are detailed and vibrant, ranging from realistic photographs of celestial bodies to artistic depictions of interstellar exploration. Each puzzle piece is designed with unique, irregular shapes that ensure no two pieces are identical, enhancing the tactile illusion of working with real puzzle fragments. The gentle background music and ambient sounds of drifting space create an atmosphere of peace and concentration, complementing the visual theme beautifully. There are no time limits, no penalties for mistakes, and no external pressures—just the player, the pieces, and the soothing rhythm of steady progress. This unhurried design philosophy makes Pixel Puzzles 2: Space an ideal title for players seeking something quiet and meditative. Gameplay mechanics remain faithful to the traditions of jigsaw puzzling, with the added benefit of a few digital conveniences. Pieces float around a digital workspace and can be rotated and placed freely, offering flexibility and a sense of control. The interface allows for easy zooming and sorting, and progress is saved automatically, so players can return to a puzzle at any time without losing their work. The game features around two dozen puzzles, each increasing in complexity as the number of pieces grows. Completing each image brings a small sense of accomplishment, and the satisfaction of watching a fragmented image come together is universally timeless. However, because of its straightforward nature, the gameplay loop doesn’t offer much in the way of surprises or variety. It’s a title that lives or dies by how much one enjoys the simple process of solving puzzles rather than achieving goals or unlocking content. While the game achieves its intended atmosphere, it isn’t without drawbacks. The primary limitation lies in its repetition and lack of long-term depth. Once all of the puzzles have been completed, there’s little incentive to replay them, as the challenge remains identical and no additional features are introduced. Some of the space-themed images, while beautiful, include large sections of dark skies or uniform textures that make certain puzzles feel tedious rather than challenging, requiring more guesswork than observation. The rotation mechanic, though adding a degree of realism, can sometimes make the process cumbersome when many pieces share similar shading or detail. The absence of alternate game modes or a more dynamic progression system also limits replayability, making Pixel Puzzles 2: Space feel more like a relaxing one-time experience than an evolving puzzle collection. Despite these shortcomings, the game’s charm lies in its simplicity and commitment to relaxation. It doesn’t try to complicate the formula or inject unnecessary mechanics; instead, it provides a pure and focused jigsaw experience in a soothing, cosmic setting. For its modest price point, it offers a fair amount of content, and its meditative qualities make it an ideal choice for those who enjoy slow-paced, stress-free games. The space aesthetic gives it a distinct identity among digital puzzle titles, and its smooth interface ensures that the focus stays on the pleasure of assembly rather than on cumbersome controls. Players who appreciate quiet games that emphasize patience, observation, and calm will find much to enjoy here. In the end, Pixel Puzzles 2: Space is less about innovation and more about comfort. It knows exactly what it is—a serene jigsaw puzzle simulator with a well-defined theme—and it delivers on that promise. Its strengths lie in its crisp presentation, pleasant sound design, and faithful translation of the puzzle-solving experience into a digital format. While it may not offer lasting variety or deep mechanics, it provides a few hours of mindful engagement that can serve as a perfect break from the intensity of more demanding games. For fans of puzzles and space imagery alike, it offers a quiet journey through the cosmos, one piece at a time. Rating: 8/10

It's a jigsaw game, 'nuff said. There's also a dancing spaceman. 7/10
