Grindy and unbalance, unfun game. - Need like 10 runs to have enough money to buy cheapest hero. - Can't skip rewards, have to take useless cards to your deck. And the longer the run, the bigger the deck, feel like my deck is from a K*nami game. - Prices in game are ridiculous. Winning get 25 gold. To progress further need to fix boat, pay 100. Upgrade card first time 50. Recover first time 50. Buying things 100 minimum each. Reroll reward 25. Remove s*t cards they force you to pick, 50.
certifed hood classic right here
每次过关收益太少,需要反复刷,使得玩法过于重复,此外,低多边形画风的美术特别丑,感觉没见过更丑的了。
I played this game on by phone and decided to buy Pirate Outlaws on steam because I loved the rougelike, card deck combinations with the fun status effects like drunk, rage, and weakened. I recommend this to anybody who likes deck building, strategy, and new experience every run.
Очередная ху#ета, для задротов.
手牌上限为5是我见过最蠢的设计,就连遗物上限也是5,这游戏最大的优点就是量大管饱了,后面应该还有许多内容,但实在是玩不下去了
FOR MORE CARD AND BOARD GAMES FOLLOW US CARD GAME KING
To give credit to Pirates Outlaws, it tries to do its own thing with the proven StS formula. However, it doesn't always turn out well. What works is that cards are powered by ammo, rather than energy and you need to generate it with other cards which creates an interesting balancing puzzle during deckbuilding - do I go for ammo-free cards, ammo generation or stronger ammo-hungry cards? This is where my biggest gripe with the game comes in - you can't reject card rewards, forcefully pushing players towards a bloated deck or getting ammo cards they absolutely can't afford or don't need. It means that deckbuilding is more a damage control process than a combo-building one. This is how the entire game feels - every positive element has its counterweight. There are plenty of game modes and heroes BUT it's slow to unlock them. Enemy design is decent BUT the game doesn't tell you what effects they have (like 100% evasion). Plenty of different cards BUT not many actual combos. Pirates Outlaws is not a bad game, but it also doesn't impress. even if there is clearly quite a bit of effort behind it. For now we are recommending it as a slightly above average game.
Favorite mechanics
• Cards powered by ammo, filled by other cards and abilities.
The positive
+ Plenty of cards, modes and heroes + Decent, but not amazing gameplay
The neutral
* Moving on the map costs "fuel" which you need to spend gold on, but since you need to move in a straight line it's just an added cost, that would be much better spent on fun stuff like upgrades and relics.
The negative
- Forced to take card rewards you don't need - Not many interesting card combos - Gets a bit repetitive
Conclusion:
Positives and novelties often come with their negative counterweights. Sitting between a Yarr! and a Yawn, Pirates Outlaws is a slightly above average StS-like experience. Recommended, 7.5/10.
Great deck-building roguelike. If you like Slay the Spire, you'll love this!
Y'all I have only had this game a few hours of playthrough but when I say I am having the TIME OF MY LIFE. Granted, roguelike deck builders are my whipped cream on a milkshake, but this one is legitimately so fun. The vibes and graphics are immaculate. It is the first game I have downloaded in YEARS that doesn't make my laptop sound like a hairdryer--it requires so little of my computer, which that said, it is SMOOTH AS BUTTER. I do not write reviews hardly ever. But this game is *chef's kiss* ~magnifique~. 10/10. Will be recommending to all of my friends.
