Verticality. Some simple trick shots. More verticality. A scouting option that allows you to overview the tables and see what you should try to go for. Easy and accessible to anyone. That in a nutshell what this is. Got very little bad to say about the game once it becomes clear what you are trying to do. Short game all in all. Some 3 hours plus to complete a run. New Game+ option exists. Not bad for this price. Full or discounted.
Pinball Spire is basically pinball with an RPG spin to it... and I love it. This game is so much fun to play, with essentially multiple levels where you have objectives to achieve before you move on to the next level. Pinball itself is already fun, and this game just makes it more interesting. You have 4 abilities added on, which makes the game feel even more under your control. There is even a boss fight at the end. My only gripe is that the game is too short being at 2-3 hours. I highly recommend this game for anyone who enjoys pinball, and I would love for there to be a sequel!
A lovely little metroidvania pinball game that may seem like a nice little throwback for those that remember those DOS pinball games. Except you can actually zoom out this one.
It's pretty short (under 3 hours), but it's not a bad thing. The idea is interesting and you unlock enough abilities so it doesn't get too stale. I also don't think I agree with calling it a Metroidvania - you do collect upgrades that allow you to progress further, but the overall structure is very linear.
No respect for the player's time. Unforgivable. You're expected to use a slow time power to precisely aim your shots, which is ridiculous when it's using a limited resource. Once the ball is in motion, you have very little control over where it goes, except for nudging it - which uses the same resource as the slow time. Eventually, you get a fireball power that's mostly used for puzzle solving - which uses the same resource as the slow time and the nudge. All of these put together encourage you not to spend everything at once. If you don't though, it's entirely possible to set yourself back a minute or two in one go. After an absolutely tedious amount of backtracking, I called it quits. I loved Sonic Spinball on the Sega Genesis as a kid. What really made that work was that Sonic, as the pinball, was still able to be freely moved by the player while in motion. This game sorely lacks that, and is pretty much nothing but a time sink accordingly. Careful about what you buy in a bundle, everyone.
This is a cute little game, by a single developer, which is both good and bad. Good because it is creative and has an unique take. Bad because it lacks play testing and depth. You may end up in a level you can't pass
because you lack an ability found in a side room
The full price is too high for the content provided. I still recommend it.
It is fun, but it is extremely short. I'd recommend it at 5 euro. Took me 3 hours to finish. Not recommended if you're looking for anything to scratch the pinball itch as the game feel is not like that.
