Played quite a bit of the itch release and love the new interface / level selection of the steam release. Difficult and fun game. You will die, a lot. But getting back in the action is very quick and when you die you know what you could have / should have done. Just need your fingers to do it!
I used to play the first release on itch.io, and I remember playing the snake boss level over 100 times. It is a difficult game but after you surpass the difficulty it's very satisfying. Respect Tim <3
This was a really fun game for me to play. A platformer with some scary bits, it's difficult enough and fun. I don't think I'll ever be able to beat it, but I really enjoyed what I played of it and will likely come back for some more later.
Fantastic game! It's an awesome platformer that is unforgiving and not sorry about it. It can be frustrating but in that good way that makes you want to get good. The visual style with the shadowing is unique and beautiful and the story is very interesting with great symbolism. Sort of a Dante's Inferno but with the stages of Grief. Controls are tight, sometimes to your own frustration, but that's not a bad thing. The varied level design, puzzles, enemies, and game play mechanics make every level a challenge and keep it interesting. It took me 23 attempts to beat just the first stage boss! If you love (pun intended) platformers, this game is an absolute must have.
I LOVE IT 爱了爱了 我就喜欢这个风格加上玩法
An intense game about dealing with the pain of a break up, the claustrophobic shadows adds to the level design and secrets to find, with plenty of traps and some bosses to keep it fresh and fun :) If you'd like to see what we're playing next with regular updates, or request to review a game, feel free to follow us at: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35688508-Ember-Works-Reviews/
This is a hard game. Go into it knowing that it is an intense precision platformer. It knows what it is and it delivers. Keep pushing and don't give up. Wortha buy
It's a platformer on the same level as Super Meat Boy.
Philophobia is a great game with a lot of unique gameplay. Each of the realms offers something different related to one of the stages of grief, and there are a lot of fun challenges that will make you want to keep playing.
Great game with a good message. Great to play whilst thinking about related things.
