Very nice for 4 people coop, no idea why it could not use lobby or steam system for inviting friends, or allowing to keep the party across maps. We had to host and invite everyone every time by sharing a code in DMs. The puzzles themselves are okay, most requiring asymmetric coop, standing far apart and coordinating motions. For the cheap cheap price we payed during summer sale, it's a great value. 5 hours to beat all the maps as 4 experienced players. Unreal engine with temporal AA performs worse than expected for the level of detail and effects on screen, I had to lower render resolution to 65% in 1080p for stable 60 fps, very playable.
It's good, proper 2+ player coop. Not all puzzles require 2 players though. There's also only 5 levels, each takes 40-60 minutes to beat for the first time. Nitpicks: * The hint system is subpar - it kinda just points to a random unsolved puzzle in the level, not the one you are currently doing/are closest to. * No proper Steam Friends integration - have to deal with invite codes.
Great variety of puzzles compared to other co-op escape rooms. Played with 2 friends (3 people total) and it seemed like an appropriate puzzle density where no one was standing around bored or hogging all the puzzles. 2 players might be too few (especially for the 4th level). Not much time was wasted looking in nooks and crannies or rifling through drawers like in some other escape room games; most time was spent actually solving the puzzles and communicating asymmetrical information. Lobby system was a little clunky, I'd like to see it improved upon in a sequel.

What we were able to play of it so far seems good, but if a player disconnects then they are unable to reconnect. As a result, we were never able to actually complete more than one or two maps despite attempting half a dozen. If reconnects are supported in the future then I feel like Puzzle Compound would be worth revisiting.
This game surprised me. The price point and the smaller number of reviews set my expectations a little low, but it is genuinely a fun game. Graphics-wise it's pretty crap, but that was very easy for me to move past. The levels themselves are a lot like what you would find in Escape Simulator: A little variety of themes (the cowboy level, the sci-fi level, etc), but nothing you haven't seen before. I would say the puzzles are pretty medium difficulty, some easy ones, a couple head scratchers, some tedious ones, but over all a very good variety and well thought out. I personally really like how the game will separate the team, similar to how the We Were Here series does, so you only have half the clues, and you need to actually communicate and work together with your team to figure things out. Overall, it was well worth the money and my time. Definitely recommended.
Bardzo fajne 6h zabawy w coopie :)
First tried this game during next fest and immediately added it to my wish list for release. I've played a ton of other puzzle/escape type games and feel this is one of the best for different types of puzzles and difficulty. We played 2-player which allowed us both to focus on the various tasks and never felt like there wasn't something to do. It felt true to real life escape rooms for time, with each map taking us about 40-60 minutes. Highly recommend. Great date night activity!
