About
Immerse yourself in the history of Ancient Egypt with 50 missions in Pharaoh™: A New Era, a remake of Pharaoh (and the expansion Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile), one of the best city builders from the golden age of Sierra Entertainment. Stone by stone, build your city and manage all aspects of its development to ensure it prospers and makes you a powerful and revered pharaoh.

Develop your city by cultivating the fertile lands along the banks of the Nile valley. Erect the iconic monuments of Ancient Egypt, including the pyramids, the Sphinx and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. Build temples and mausoleums to help manage all aspects of your city's health and culture as well as the predominant polytheistic religion of the time.
Ensure your city is prosperous enough to deal with economic or political crises, or even plundering by enemies. A pharaoh takes care of its people and does whatever it can to earn the favour of the gods.

Pharaoh™: A New Era celebrates 20 years since the release of the famous franchise with a complete remake, including more than 50 playable missions and over 100 hours of gameplay.
The "Campaign" mode teaches you the game basics while allowing you to experience a unique story in the heart of Ancient Egypt. Explore all aspects of life in a thriving city, build and manage all its fundamental elements to ensure it flourishes: the economy, internal and external trade, culture, health, agriculture, education, etc.

The journey back in time is really brought to life with this new version, which upgrades the gameplay mechanics to modern standards and completely redesigns the captivating soundtrack and gorgeous isometric 2D graphics.
Many indicators have also been added or improved: keep better track of the frequency or quality of the Nile's floods with the Nilometer, or don't lose sight of your population's mood with some unique new tools!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Ich fand es in den ersten Zügen schon so langweilig und unausgereift das ich es recht fix wieder deinstalliert habe.
As soon as you end the tutorial there's a bug on the Small Mastaba and you can't proceed with the campaign.
The concept is nice; building your own Egyptian dynasty, but my main problem is that quite quickly into the campaignmode, you do not have access to resources you need in a given level, and I don't mean resources for luxuries. While that makes it a good insentive to trade, the fact that you will also continiously be (nearly) broke - the game literally says it's normal and expected to go into debt, which also annoys me... - will make anything a chore to get. I gave up when in the fourth orso level, where you are expected to make ferries, fishingboats and other watercrafts to get to more-or-less vital resources... guess what? There were no trees, so I would have to first build up to getting enough money for trade - again, hard in a game designed to make you go into debt on the regs - to get WOOD needed to make PLANKS to make all the ships you need in that level (or I guess, buy the planks directly, but still the fact that you need to trade to get vital resources after just a few levels annoys me). The influence/activity-radia of buildings is also not defined. I had several times that I made my village/city near the main road - because logic dictates that a village/city would form near a major road - and kept getting messages that there was no food/work(ers) because I accidentally put the food-acquisition-places/workplaces beyond the range of where my people would go to? And it didn't feel that far to me, perhaps 20 orso blocks of walking between Work-Area and Live-Area. Meaning you can't neatly sort your settlement to make work-districts and living-districts because they keep having to overlap, which is a problem because then your living-houses will stop levelling up at some point because people don't want their work TOO close (fair, I also would not want a smithy nextdoor). Maybe for some people this is fun, but I want to relax when gaming, and I cannot do that with a game where VITAL resources (including MONEY, I was in debt nearly every level and I hated it) are designed to be scarce/hard to get and I have to legitimately cityplan just to get my people to go to work instead of making what felt to me to be a realistic city of work-, storage- and living-districts and never shall the twain meet beyond supermarket-equivalents.
nice old games, relax
pro's: -great nostalgic fun. -didnt encounter any bugs so far. -worth the price -eases u into complexer gameplay Cons: Tutorial is a bit unclear every now and then.
le jeu a aucun sens il est vraiment nul
Un bon jeu, succésseur de CAESAR III avec un moteur graphique au gout du jour. On regrette toutefois le manque de réelle innovation dans la franchise.
