About

Peripeteia is a cyberpunk immersive sim set in alternate-history Poland – a first-and-third-person game mixing shooter, stealth and RPG mechanics with an unexplored setting and original ideas.
You are Marie: a cybernetic mercenary in a post-Soviet city full of corruption and opportunity, where nations, factions and ideologies clash. You will use your wits, tact, and raw violent nature to complete tasks shrouded in conspiracy and mystery. Logic, skill and ruthless cunning win the day in an interactive world – but when that fails, a loaded gun and the ability to climb virtually anywhere, will suffice.
Levels so vast they take hours to explore. Every tower, sewer, rooftop and basement is real and reachable. No quest markers. No correct path. If you can see a ledge, Marie can grab it. Forge your own routes with a sabre jammed into a wall or a well-placed crate. Get lost. Find something no one else found. That's the point.
Over 100 weapons – Cold War surplus, prototype rarities, stolen NATO hardware. Every magazine, every bullet, every attachment exists as a physical object in your inventory. Strip enemy weapons for parts. Transfer your gear between missions. Build your stash in Marie's basement. Plan your loadout or improvise when everything goes wrong.
Hack terminals. Possess enemies. Manipulate factions against each other. Sneak through the vents, talk your way past the guards, or come in loud with a stolen PKM. Every mission is a sandbox. Your choices determine who lives, who dies, and whose flag flies over the city.
Marie is living military surplus – powerful but not invincible. Manage your implants, ration your energy, scavenge what you can. The city doesn't care about you. Its factions will use you and discard you.
An unforgettable soundtrack featuring Sewerslvt, Ed Harrison (Neotokyo, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided) and a dozen other amazing artists. Drum and bass, atmospheric ambience, breakcore. Post-Soviet brutalism rendered in the grit of the early 2000s with modern lighting. Rain on concrete. Every second of this city sounds and looks exactly as dark as it should.

An immersive sim for people who think the genre never got the sequel it deserved.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Game has a great direction and I can see that it will eventually be fully realized. For now it's still worth diving in for the surface level aspects (music, art, exploration) and catching glimpses of smart diegetic moves by the creators to incentivize creative play. More than happy to see whats next as well as a couple additions to the environments to make them feel a tad less barren. The primary areas are very well thought out but some of the connecting transits / corridors can feel slapdash. A bit like the devs couldn't find a way to meaningfully loop an area back so they slapped in either a long hallway or an extremely lengthy set of stairs. I'm talkin' it takes a good 5-10 minutes up these stairs with nothing happening in between the start and end of the knee-buckling trek. The writing is of note because of it's extraction of fear, disgust, or possibly hatred from the player (not to mention some characters that are a breath of fresh air from all of the cruelty). The NPCs are personified very well and I'm sure some of that is due to the great atmosphere that engulfs the world. Filthy, foreign, and propagandized. It's nice to see a game take itself seriously in a sea of irony. Lastly, the gameplay is a good amount of fun. The aforementioned lengthy hallways are a bore but the infiltrating of rival faction locations is enjoyable. A typical "quest" or "mission" will have a similar setup to many other objective-based games: Find gang leader and kill / get information -> raid the gang base -> kill or talk to the leader -> return back to the mission giver What I find appealing is the in-between. Sure you can fumble about an objective like a predestined hivemind but why not go outside what you believe the boundaries are and push a little further? Just a quick rant about modern "story" games relating to my statement above and what games like this solve: Every person is different. When I talk to someone about an experience whether it be a movie, music, or book, we have seen / heard / read the same thing. Games have the ability to be different in this sense yet the overwhelming majority of single-player games offer the same experience per person. They may tout morals yet what you do in the game reflects against them. To have more of these games that truly differ from person to person is what makes them so interesting. Play as you would and see the game react accordingly. Aside from some obvious compromises, i see this game has a great foundation and would recommend it.
game had huge performance issues for me ;( would have loved to discover further
Injecting immersive sim directly into my veins
This is pretty amazing once it gets going. It is complex and open ended, so don't expect a tight story that tell you exactly what to do and how to do it. It gives you some tasks, but lets you figure things out on your own. I love the atmosphere of this place too. Which is a great thing to have when you are wandering around and trying to figure out where to go :)
Ok, so... I want to like this game. Its in early access and it appears dev is still working on it, so I have hope. Here's my biggest issues with the game: - Is there a way to climb up and down ladders? I have to jump and rappel down ladders. - Left/Right brackets do not change hot bar slot.. Left does nothing, right activates selected ability. Remapping key input does not fix this... why it not scroll wheel by default and brackets to change camera view?? - Is there a map? An objective? Am i missing something? I mysteriously found my way to the metro in the first stage after somehow making my way through a 60 story apartment building and sewers??? Where do i go?!?!? - Enemies bending over backwards for your amusement! Like, literally. I almost prefer them T-posing than bending backways to look behind them. - Random light sources all over the map. One of them in the stairway of your apartments. - Random music triggers. Why is there dance music when you step into the sewer area?? - Is there a way to tell who is friend and who is foe? How many times am i going to get blasted in the face for wandering my way around the world?? - Why is there an inventory space limit to move to the next area?? - Where is the basement storage located?? - PLEASE normalize the audio!! My ears were ringing from the guy in the 2nd mission by the August****** terminal hack bridge. - Speaking of that guy... "Press F to press F to press F to press F to press F to open access door." - Make hacking computers either easier or longer. Is there clues in the environment?? I'm slamming my keyboard like a monkey on a typewriter and calling it "hacking." Ive been streaming it and myself and viewers are confused whats even happening. Its like if Jazzpunk and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. devs decided to make a game together! Im going to keep going, but there will be a LOT of puzzled looks. Ill recommend this game FOR NOW! Just fix the controls and navigation first
