Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
From Obsidian, this game is a historical narrative-driven game focusing on character development, heavily stylized art, and choice-driven storytelling in early 16th century Bavaria. Players will play as Andreas Maler, a clever illustrator caught up in a series of murders in Tassing and Kiersau Abbey over the course of twenty five years. Players will be responsible for conducting their own investigation to decide the fate of the community, but each decision will have lasting consequences and inexorably draws Andreas closer to the center of an underlying conspiracy.
Experience 16th century Europe as the master artists of the time saw them. Art inspired by great illuminated manuscripts and the earliest printed books becomes a living, breathing world in Pentiment.
Choose different academic and social backgrounds and meet a colorful cast of characters as you discover the stories and secrets that lie within the small Bavarian town of Tassing and nearby Keirsau Abbey.
In an era of great religious and political change, each decision you make can have a profound impact on the community’s future. Find your own way through this turbulent time and see the consequences of your choices play out over generations.

Started out pretty good, first 2 acts were interesting and solid enough. Then it went the way of bad Samson, IYKYK.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I loved every second playing the game! It was very interesting and better than I expected. The player has to read much, I did not mind it and I think it is better- this way each player can interpret the lines in their own way without being influenced by the emotions/tone of a voiced character. The first act was soooo good! Maybe the youth of Andreas made it that way? The second one was too depressing. The third not so, the people had more hope for the future. Overall, the feeling of uncertainty followed us in each act, we will never be sure who committed the crimes and I prefer it that way. I was a bit disappointed about who is the culprit but I can understand why they did it. From what I understand there aren't different endings. There is this one big ending which can have minor outcomes.
Finally played through to the end. Structurally the game feels messy with far too much roaming around. The art is beautiful, yes, but I think you could shave off about 2 hours of walking. I sometimes felt like I was missing out because I didn't often want to go into the slow/ugly journal menu or wander around the same static trail again. I didn't think particular hotspots were interesting or meaningful in any way at times and the fact they remain after you've interacted with them isn't helpful. Narratively I really enjoyed the story and the themes. There was a lot to get invested in and finding out more about the characters was cool. I liked how the climax tied everything together really well. Played out like a very well written murder mystery overall. I think Pentiment could be condensed a bit as I feel a bit of a more brisk pace would benefit this game greatly. I didn't find clicking on meals engaging at all and the art in those parts wasn't nearly as nice as the rest of the game so it felt pointless. There weren't any fail states that I could see and the puzzles were as straight forward as you could possibly get. There wasn't anything really to look forward to on the path, so the walking around just dragged things out. I'd give this a 6/10 all of it for art and story, Gameplay is practically nonexistent.
Absolute cinema.
(stat rosa pristina nomine,nomina nuda tenemus.)
