About

A phone call from a small, out of state police force was the last thing writer Penelope Pendrick was expecting that morning. But, it wasn't long after that she was boarding a flight to the quaint old town of Carlisle, Connecticut. When debriefed, Penelope learns her job is to join the search for three missing people; an older man who owns a local bookstore, a mysterious woman who keeps to herself, and a troublemaking teenage boy – the only common link between them being that they disappeared from the same town, within the same week. The Sergeant is stumped.
Once she begins to unravel the case, Penelope realizes that there’s something deeper – stranger – going on here. Unusual ties form between four deceptive suspects, each with something to gain and each with something to lose. Motives and suspicions weave in and out as Penelope uses her wits and penchant for rule-breaking to search for answers; some of which died with an eccentric and mysterious local artist fifty years ago. As the danger escalates, a timer begins to tick down on the lives of the missing. All that Penelope knows for sure is that there’s more to the town of Carlisle than it would appear, and that one wrong move could make this first case her last.

As someone who grew up playing Nancy Drew, I was excited to play a game somewhat inspired by the point-and-click mystery games. It definitely scratches the itch! There were some fun puzzles. Some of them were tricky and I needed to go to Reddit to find hints. The final puzzle was quite a challenge. Overall, interesting game and I'm looking forward to seeing what they put out next.
Perfect game for Nancy Drew / Her Interactive fans. Purchased on a whim and I am so glad I did. Great story, fun puzzles, and interesting mystery. :)
I've always loved playing Nancy Drew games growing up, and this game scratched that itch!
For me this would fit into a top 5 Nancy drew game. It is so well done, challenging but not stupidly impossible, and keeps you engaged. Love it!
A lot of love has gone into the development of this game and it was an absolute joy to play! I can't wait to see what the developers do next.
This game is absolutely fantastic and I couldn't recommend it further. The game developer took all of the elements that made the original Nancy Drew games memorable, such as solving puzzles and sneaking in people's things, while also incorporating her own creative ideas. The result is a game that manages to be unique while also scratching that Nancy Drew itch - making it perfect for people with nostalgia for Her Interactive.
Absolutely feels like playing old style Nancy Drew. I just wish there was a hint system in place because a couple of times I needed the help of a walkthrough
I love the old HeR Nancy Drew games and with the last two being so awful, I was really excited to play Penelope Pendrick. The gameplay was similar to ND games, and the graphics/style was similar enough but still significantly different (Mostly for the better) Some stuff I felt was tough to find and took a walkthrough to figure out, but honestly, I'm not too mad about it! I'm so excited for the next one!
Adored this game. Great atmosphere, good characters and an accessible dev that cares about UX. Highly recommended for OG Nancy Drew fans who are missing the classic games - you will not be disappointed!
Excellent game, very reminiscent of the best of the Nancy Drew games. Can't wait to play the next one!
