Pendragon: Narrative Tactics

Pendragon is a party RPG turn based game where you play as a knight of the round table to save the King. Graphics- Okay Soundtrack- Alright Audience- Teenagers or Adults Difficulty- Not too hard but requires some tactical thinking to prevail Story- Okay story Game time- Descent length Price- Not that cheap 6/10

One of the most bizarre gaming experiences I've ever had. Buy it cheap if you have any interest. The game does have some built-in replayability. I won't personally be replaying it, although I'm not sad I gave it one playthrough. FYI, one playthrough could be accomplished in a couple hours. I just left the game running for hours without actually playing it.

My experience with this game has been the following: -Beat tutorial with vague explanation of everything -Enter next area -Enemies suddenly block your path and may or may not attack you -Try to go past said enemy and get 1 shot without inherent warning nor control over the situation I don't know if there is even combat in this game considering a peasant with a dagger somehow obliterates an armed knight. The utter walls of text also do not help for the roguelike...? setting this game seems to go for.

Rating: M.O.R. - 5.5/10 I wanted to like this game more as I really loved the concept of what they were going for. I think it just fell a lil short for me on the gameplay front. I think it's def worth checking out if you're into a shorter narrative game with replay value, and Arthurian legend!

I wish I could play the game but I'm interrupted every move for useless dialogue and stage directions. The strategy is barebones and is basically just waiting until the enemy comes to you or until you are forced to flee. I spent more time trying to click through text (on the fastest scroll and animation speed mind you) than I was actually in combat/strategizing. Wastes your time at every corner, 2/10

Inkle ha sempre un modo particolare di raccontare, Pendragon forse quello che arriva più in là rispetto agli altri che ho giocato. Un gameplay lento che accompagna sempre i dialoghi e che cambia a seconda delle scelte narrative. I personaggi sono interessanti, soprattutto rispetto inquadrati in vicende che si scartano di molto da quanto viene raccontato normalmente della loro leggenda. La grafica e il design sia di personaggi sia delle ambientazioni distintivi e molto curati. Purtroppo dopo poche ore il combattimento ripetitivo stanca

Great little game for those with an interest in the basics of Arthurian stories, and who have the ability to parse a turn-based combat system reliant on positioning. It's not a heavy game, in that each playthrough is liable to fairly short with any given character. But it has some solid writing, with the occasional lovely bit of prose, and a sense of bittersweet adventure throughout. Anyone not into story-games driven by randomized elements in a broader, pre-defined route should avoid this, as should those who would get bored with the combat system.

A strong meh--not an unpleasant experience, but neither the tactics nor the writing were compelling enough to keep me engaged.
