I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
A cross between Normality and Stanley Parable. Absolutely worth the price of admission. It has a readme.txt Highly recommended. Also play Normality: https://store.steampowered.com/app/400370/Normality/
Great game for the price, great story and a lot of secret endings.
I don't get motion sick but I did on this game. I beat it and got the Slacker ending. I peed without washing my hands, I ate all the cake, I was well hydrated, social butterfly, best friends with the janitor, I got the retirement package, addicted to coffee (i am in real life yo) I turned off peoples pcs and I took too long to do my work. I recommend for people who want that old pixel look and a breezy quirky game. I could take it or leave it but it is a neat change from the norm.
Good short little game
Hello everyone. First of all, I just want to say... wow... I was kind of blown away by this. I mean, it wasn't the greatest game ever, but after having like, $5 left over after purchasing Terraria, I felt like going out and finding some cheap, underrated games. And for $0.99, I really can't complain much. The game is simple, graphics are in the style of Windows 95 FPS RPG games (which is a literal selling point, and part of why I personally bought it), and there are some seemingly ridiculously expensive Foil cards (I got one and it sells for about $3.28 so yeah, there's a little bit of a profit on buying a cheap game so thank you developers for making a small indie game that resulted in me being able to buy more small indie games! Seriously!) so I mean, what can you really complain about? I mean sure, it's only like, 5 levels long, and the game is kind of confusing on who you're supposed to interact with (the game shows your current objective on your cubicle's computer screen, but due to the low resolution of the screen and the low resolution of the character faces and objects like the Gold Watch, it's hard to make out who and what you're supposed to specifically look for), but there's a couple secrets, achievements, and even multiple endings! Yeah, multiple endings in a game made by two busy guys (seriously though, give these guys some credit, they put 11 months of work into the game as stated in the "Quotes" screen accessed from the main menu when you complete the game). Either way, I could praise this for the good things it does all day, primarily because it was cheap, but also because I genuinely enjoyed my time playing it, so let's talk about the cons of the game, huh? Alright, as discussed before, the game is only 5 levels long, and not even inherently long level either, and I blew through the game in about 15 minutes (blind speedrunning and stuff), so it's not hard to say that it could use a LITTLE padding... Another issue I had was that characters didn't have voices. I know, I know, it's the whole "95 experience" and whatnot, but there could've at least been dialog boxes or something, something that informed me, "Hey, this is what I'm saying instead of being a sawtooth sound byte!" Also, as stated earlier, I didn't really initially know where I was going, and the game wasn't too clear on that for the whole computer issue like I mentioned before. Another issue I had was after your character grows in age. Firstly, your character becomes slower which, okay, fine, that's realistic, but from your "young" character, it feels REALLY slow, but the real issue I have with that is the fact that the glasses overlay is a tad intrusive to play with. Other than that, I really have nothing to complain about. There's really not much more to say about the game in general. If you're looking for a quick $1 time waster, I do genuinely suggest this game.
<charlie brown's adult speaking noises>
The idea behind Payroll is ingenious - what if you had a job, and worked in an office? Truly a unique concept among videogames. It's chunky, it's bloopy, it takes place entirely in an office building - what more could you want? The only bug I encountered was one achievement wouldn't unlock correctly, but I can live with that.
Tl;dr:

Wom wom-wom wom wom wom.
Vee vee vee? Vee vee vee vee.
