About
Establish the greatest regime in history in this darkly satirical colony sim and FPS roguelite hybrid. Build a prosperous totalitarian state, enforce policies, and lead your troops into first-person battles that grow from desperate skirmishes into large-scale mechanized war.
Dictate wisely. Every choice shapes society, for better or worse.
Mold your citizens through fear, propaganda, surveillance, punishment or rule as a benevolent leader through comfort and prosperity.
While they work for the State, they may grow grateful, afraid, loyal, or quietly rebellious, until dissent becomes revolt.
Venture into the fractured territories of the Tyris System to gather resources, conscript new citizens, trade with wandering merchants, and feed the growth of your colony.
Fight beside your troops in roguelite FPS battles, from hostile ships to large-scale mechanized battlefields of infantry, tanks, and mechs, spreading your doctrine and eliminating threats to humanity.
Weakened foes can be captured and dragged back to your base.
Behind prison doors, resistance can be crushed through fear, indoctrination, execution, or conversion, until an enemy becomes a citizen, a warning to would-be rebels, or another tool of the regime.
Elite enemies, bosses, and Sector Overlords flood the battlefield with bullets, lasers, missiles, drones, artillery, and overlapping projectile patterns.
This is war at scale, but you are not alone. Order your troops to secure victory, or use them as expendable shields to achieve your ends.

Turn a handful of survivors into a vast, tightly run, self-sustaining colony.
Assign citizens to mine, gather, haul, research, and manufacture weapons, armor, food, and supplies. Watch fragile shelters become the machinery of the State.
Collect roguelite cores during each expedition to grow stronger, survive longer, and push deeper into enemy territory.
Weapon Cores reshape how your guns handle. Combination Cores create synergies between different core sets. Others strengthen the troops fighting beside you, or turn them into sacrificial shields for your survival.
Each run becomes a shifting war machine built around you, your squad, and the chaos you unleash together.

Pax Autocratica is a totalitarian colony sim and FPS roguelite hybrid that combines base building, citizen management, and first-person chaotic battlefields filled with infantry, vehicles and bullet hell. It offers a dynamic, accessible, and approachable gameplay experience for all in a sci-fi dystopian world.
It’s a game about power. How it’s built, how it corrupts, and how it consumes.
You will command armies, dictate laws, and witness consequences in every face that salutes you or fears you.

For the most part, its a good game. Its got a decent building system, and (although repetitive) fairly fun missions. My primary issue is the boss fights. They will spam the same attack with no cooldown, no break, and the player has a very small space to move around in. I'm currently on the sacred tree boss enemy, and there's absolutely no cover from the sheer barrage of attacks. Couple that with its ability to constantly spawn minions, means that you don't get a reprieve from being attacked. Between the tree's explosive attacks constantly going, and the minions constantly shooting, you'll be dodging far more than you can attack. Overall, its a good game, i just feel the boss fights need to be balanced better.

Improvements are needed if you're someone into this genre, but they make good effort and the game is enjoyable right now.
Very fun
Naughty Dissidents go into the Dissident Sex Pit.
Really good - Imagine a marriage of satisfactory and Helldivers 2. Their child is this game minus the belts from satisfactory and the button pressing from Helldivers
Played it before it was on steam and its made a lottt of improvements! Almost a new game really! worth the investment!
Very nice game. You can get easily pinned down by the colony management to the point where you forget its a shooter game (thats a good thing for me). the option to turn off soldiers dying from old age is highly appreciated by this one. the game feels quite polished for an early access. especially considering the current standards. i only had one crash and no bugs. i can't wait to see what it evolves into. there is SO much potential in this game and i hope it has a long life. hoooowever i feel like most of the weapons are kind of underpowered to the point where melee spam is usually the best option but i have 4k hrs in warframe so thats nothing new. but weapon balance is just a few numbers so really not a huge systemic issue. At the time of writing this comment i have just started venturing into the 3rd sector and taken a few urslan hostage. if i see significant changes from here on out i will edit the comment. Tldr: game is very worth its price and has a high addiction potential. FOR THE STATE! =][=
This game's funny. I didn't think I'd enjoy it but the setting has this perfect mix of absurdity and taking itself seriously so it's like, go my goons, defeat the giant crab. Defeat the wall that's also a mech. We're in a solar farm, we're in space china, we're in the fields, we're in mist fog city with the coffin cars. This game has a chatbox you can type in despite being singleplayer? I am throwing 30 knives instead of using my assault rifle. My melee guys do a dance every 10 seconds even while being shot. There's a bunch of flavor text conversations between my colonists and I can incite rebellion by giving them an item that "lets them think freely for once." WHAT IS THIS GIANT TREE THING. AAAAAAAH????? I like my colony of space pirates, human dudes, mech guys, alien templars and the flesh boys. They're hanging out, I'm choosing what they eat and choosing something else once 50% of my population has lost all their bones from angry crab meat. The combat's fine, hard mode's hard enough. Trying new builds so I can get more core fragments is interesting. Looking at the one bajillion weapons is cool. Everything feels undercooked, but it still tastes good. I'm shooting some guy with zappy darts 50 time in a row while my entire army spams heals on me. I'm throwing someone's child in the meat grinder and then feeling really bad about doing that because all the soldiers felt bad about it and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the human reciprocation instinct goes ham here. Game's fun as is and there's the rising foundations of some crazy ♥♥♥♥. At least keep an eye on this thing. The hat the player character wears is pretty snazzy too.
