After playing this game for 68 minutes, I can say this game is peak! I look forward to playing for many more hours my computers specs: CPU: Intel Celeron N4120 @ 2.60 GHz GPU: Intel UHD Graphics 600 (Integrated) RAM: 3.68 GiB
Paws is a small but emotionally resonant adventure that stands apart from most traditional games, leaning heavily into atmosphere, tenderness, and visual storytelling rather than mechanical complexity or long-form challenge. Developed and published by Might and Delight, it serves as a companion piece to the studio’s Shelter series, yet establishes a tone and identity all its own. Instead of guiding a parent protecting her young, Paws places you in the body of a vulnerable lynx cub separated from its family. From the very first moments—waking alone on a riverbank after being swept away—the game arises not from survival mechanics but from a journey of reconnection, trust, and quietly unfolding companionship. What immediately draws you into Paws is its striking art direction. Might and Delight’s distinctive patchwork aesthetic gives the world a handcrafted, almost storybook quality: forests are composed of textured fabrics, lighting shimmers across stylized leaves, and shadows soften the landscape into something dreamlike yet grounded. The world feels intentionally imperfect, slightly abstract but deeply evocative. Combined with a gentle, haunting soundtrack that relies on soft melodies and emotional cues rather than overt themes, the visual and audio design create an atmosphere that feels at once melancholic and hopeful. Rather than overwhelming you with dramatic story beats, the game invites you to slow down and inhabit the forest—watching silhouettes in the trees, listening to distant wildlife, or tracking subtle trails in the snow. Gameplay in Paws is intentionally minimalistic. Instead of deep combat, complex puzzles, or layered systems, you engage with the world through the senses of a lynx cub: following scent trails, stalking small prey, navigating shallow streams, and learning to move confidently across uneven terrain. Each action is less about challenge and more about immersion—letting you experience the world as the cub does, uncertain but curious. The introduction of a bear cub companion adds warmth to the journey, giving the player moments of shared exploration and simple cooperative mechanics. Together, the two young animals navigate obstacles, help each other reach higher ground, and lend emotional support in an otherwise harsh wilderness. Their relationship becomes the quiet backbone of the narrative, built through small gestures rather than dialogue. Paws is undeniably short, lasting only a few hours, and this brevity shapes both its strengths and its limitations. As an artistic vignette, the compact runtime enhances the emotional punch: the experience doesn’t overstay its welcome, and every new area feels meaningful. Yet players seeking more expansive gameplay may find themselves wanting more—more levels, more mechanics, more narrative layers. The game occasionally shows its rough edges, particularly in the camera and platforming segments where movement can feel imprecise. Some transitions arrive abruptly, including the ending, which can feel sudden and unresolved depending on the pace at which you play. These issues never derail the experience, but they do highlight that Paws is more of a meditative journey than a fully fleshed-out adventure. Where the game excels beyond question is in its emotional impact. Even without text or voiced dialogue, Paws communicates themes of loss, fear, protection, and companionship through its environments and through the behavior of its two young protagonists. It is a game built around feelings rather than goals, and its quiet moments linger long after finishing. Whether you’re weaving through dense underbrush, listening to the forest breathe, or simply watching the cubs curl up together in a rare moment of peace, the journey resonates in ways few games attempt. It may not provide mechanical depth, but it offers something rarer—a sense of innocence, vulnerability, and connection. For players who appreciate narrative lightness, visual artistry, and emotional subtlety, Paws is a memorable and heartfelt experience. It is accessible enough for younger players or newcomers to games, yet meaningful enough for anyone who values atmosphere over systems. Its short runtime may make it feel more like a playable storybook than a traditional video game, but within that structure it succeeds beautifully. Paws is not a grand epic; it is a quiet walk through a dangerous but wondrous world, guided by the fragile courage of a lost lynx cub—and in that simplicity lies its charm. Rating: 8/10

I don't often write reviews, but this one is so atrociously bad I really do feel the need to warn other people to NOT get this game. If you like wandering around and doing nothing, or maybe you want to keep your kid entertained, this might be a good game, but otherwise, it's just absolutely horrible. The camera is some of the worst I've seen in any game, there are MANY MANY bugs, and there is nothing really going on, not to mention just to get to any remotely interesting parts, you just travel around doing nothing on the way there for a looooong time. It's very clear that 90% of it is just filler, and the parts that aren't filler aren't even all that great either. The only thing it has going for it is the art of the game if you like this kind of art. Please do not waste your money on this, its not even worth $1 USD.
This is a beautiful and UNDERATED game. Love it, never regretted buying it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. No im not some promo bot i'm just an obsessed fan TwT 5 STARS. 10000/10 ITS AMAZING
非常好哭,真是诠释了相遇就是未来,结束就是未来的概念。

i loved the other meadow games, but this one is just sooo slow. the controls are clunky and i cant get used to it. theres little to do and i think this story is a little slow.
