childhood game i loved this game as a kid, now seeing it on steam, i had to pick it back up the graphics are so nice and, while the game has problems like clipping through platforms, it was still fun to revisit my favorite game when i was growing up (also i left the game on all night by accident thats why i have 13 hours on it)
Fun Game With Nice Graphics And Art Style.
7.5/10. Blatant mario ripoff. But after having played the terrible platformer "clash of puppets", having a platformer that works was welcome. Tight controls. Levels use similar layouts and mechanics. Uses same music over. Enemies all look the same, lack of variety. Hub work confusing and unorganized. Hitboxes can be somewhat off. Cute look and asthetic. Decent platformer all around.

There was a glitch when you like jump on the mushroom and do a double jump on the tutorial and it let's you fall off and never getting back up and you need to restart
Paper Cuts
Let's cut to the chase, for a 2D platformer, Paper Monster's controls just don't manage to cut it. Movement is both slow and imprecise, and hit boxes are approximative. You have to constantly hold the X button to sprint (this isn't the 80s anymore - we have triggers and analogue sticks now) and the controller buttons cannot be rebound. It's a cute little game (think super mario 1 meets LBP), but with the abundance of quality 2D platformers on Steam I just can't find it in me to persevere with it or recommend.
way too buggy dojn't buy
Wasn't quite as magical as when I was a kid, but still pretty fun. I am glad I found this again to finally finish it.
Juegazo, me recuerda mucho a "Little big Planet", si lo ves en oferta compra segura.
As much as people call it a Mario Bros and Little Big Planet rip off its still a fun game. Oh lets not forget you can't get those games for PC either. So what we have here is a remake of Paper Monsters and it updates with new graphics, new level lay out and a new stage. To me its a wonderful game and not bad for the price either though I did get it for about $2. I do request you get this game if your a fan of platformers. There is at least one con I forget to mention its not to bad and to me easily ignored. Anyways I found the hit detection can be a little off at times where you jump on an enemy and can walk right off without killing it. However this issue is easily ignorable to me.
