PANTHEON: RISE OF THE FALLEN IS A DEEPLY SOCIAL HIGH FANTASY MMO
GAME THAT CHALLENGES ITS PLAYERS AND REWARDS EFFORT.
It has been 500 years since the Deicide War severed the connection between the people and their gods. The Ravaging Lord pushed nations across Terminus to near extinction before the Dragon King himself appeared and brought an end to the bloodshed.
Now, the denizens of Terminus must uncover the mysteries of their past and unlock the silenced power of their gods. For war will come again. And this time the dragons won’t be there to save you.

High likelihood that the climate-mediated collapse of human civilization will occur before this game is finished. Best case scenario you get to play a thoroughly mid MMORPG during the American warlord era, or maybe on one of those floating cities from Waterworld?
Its a game that needs work but is NOT a lost cause. All the downvotes are comments based off a finished product, ridiculous. Please just do not drop the ball on this Visionary Realms, you have a good idea, just polish the turds out and get it functional.
It is worse than I expected
I really love it as someone that seriously misses 1999 Everquest, but it's far from perfect. NPCS in cities are too far apart. Just picking up newbie quests takes HOURS and it feels like a real slog to get a character going, and it's drawing attention to how empty the world is right now. There were only 3 people in the elf city with me this morning. It's also too difficult to tell which NPC has a quest for you and find who you are looking for, so I'm running circles in the city trying to turn in a quest before I've learned the layout. And this is a complaint of every mmo coming out lately: Why are the graphics so bad? Why are the models so ugly? Games that came out 10+ years ago are so beautiful, I don't see the reason for this. FFXIV, Black Desert Online, even revamped WoW looks nicer than these news games. What are y'all doing? Still, the nostalgia has me and I'm gonna keep giving it a go. The crafting is interesting and one of my favorite parts of any game. I like the class variety and trinity style group balance. I like that I can't rely on a mini map and have to learn an area. I think there is hope for it to get better.
Clearly made to be an everquest replacement. Lacks a lot of polish, but there's still hope that it can be the true successor to my absolute favorite MMO of all time (and maybe game of all time).
can't wait for the finished product
at this point I can't even play PRotF the lag and Framerate is so bad!
All in all, the game is engaging. It is also challenging as well as entertaining. THREE things that totally SUCKS about this game: ONE- There is no map showing you where you are and/or where you should go, TWO- The inventory space is worse than atrocious, THREE- You die, you drop your entire inventory, INCLUDING additional bag space you purchased in game. This last one hits hard because without having a map, you have to "guess" where your body is. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.
If they can make it work, and get the playerbase back so the games actually playable. Id play it right now. It was fun to run through the levels, meet people, make friends and explore the (at the time i played) VERY rough state world. They ahve far more ideas than they ahve hands and budget though and even with the new PM in charge it seems like their struggling. I give this a "let them cook" / 10. See where it gets to for 1.0. Much of that will depend on getting enough players in to find groups and make guilds to play in. The games true to its roots, but those roots will rot without the player numbers to make its design viable.
I really like this game, its pretty fun but if they go to subscription based i probably would pass
