One of these "I wish you could put a neutral review on steam" games. The game is not bad per se but it tries to be Sonic and a precision platformer at once and well... it doesn't really work. At first I really enjoyed the game and had fun collecting all the eggs (even tho they kinda kill the pace of the game) but then I reached World 4 and... oh my. The chainsaws are horrendous, the constant noise they make forced me to play the game mute and the level design around them is really not good. The cycles are all over the place and the fact that the physics have this weird inertia make for very frustrating levels because everything is made harder because of said physics. All in all I had an okay time but be wary, if you think you gonna play a chill, indie Sonic-like, you gonna end up being disappointed, it's more of a precision platformer with a goofy Sonic skin. So I can't really recommend it unless you're a hardcore platformer fan and like weird, somehow challenging games.
Punishing precission platformer inspired by Sonic the Hedgehog. Gameplay is centred around short levels usually revolving around a unique gimmick or evolution of a previous one. Surprising variety throughout the entire game. Difficulty can be a bit erratic, with some levels being harder than later ones. The final levels will harshly test your Panic skills. Controls are tight and simple. There's not a lot to learn regarding moving the character, with the game relying more on using tools and mechanics offered by the environment. I found the music rather mediocre. Some times it approaches being good but it's not quite there. Graphics are colourful and the level designs are very Sonic-like.
Esse jogo é basicamente: Como seria se Sonic aproveitasse suas físicas da forma mais criativa e interessante possível? E ele consegue, cada fase consegue ser única e extremamente divertida!
Very nice and fun game
i have 8 minutes but its pretty good
It's like if Sonic hated you
one of the best games ive ever played, with physics like sonic and gameplay like super meat boy both parties should find it enjoyable for that reason, i truly believe everyone should go out and play this game. its very hard and 100%'ing it is even harder but its completely worth it just for fun, not to mention the soundtrack which kicks ass
I am not a big fan of games that require controllers, but Panic Porcupine handles it smoothly and intelligently. The game itself is very easy to get into and ramps up the difficulty at just the right level. This is a fun one to run through, and I am already looking forward to multiple playthroughs. It is definitely the kind of game where I keep saying, "Just one more level and I will stop" before playing three more levels.
