Bought, downloaded, uninstalled and asked for refund. Unlike Fantasy General (which works fine and is playable), this is an unplayable mess: *Vomit inducing graphics *Zero UX so no idea what the goals are for missions or scenarios. *No gameplay menus in the campaign. *In-.game freezes on right clicking a unit (stat box comes up and there are no keys or buttons to remove it). Suspect this did not have the repackaging for Win 10 or Steam done properly, unlike Fantasy General.
Works great on deck! No out of the ordinary bugs, and its as good as remembered! (to the guy who said it looks like a port of a DOS game...... It is. LOL)
It's like Panzer General (DOS game) but slightly worse: The graphics have been "updated" into a mess which is a lot less clear to see in a game like this. The units have a lot of new qualities, such as "fearless" (doesn't flee) or "night vision" (yeah, there's nighttime now, and planes landing at night might perish) which makes it more confusing and not more fun. Still an ok game.
very clunky not the same as the old windows game
This is/was a good game - the graphics are really TERRIBLE! This game looks like an old DOS game! Very hard to make out the units in cities. The game looks like the devs just copied an old dos game!
I would need to time-travel to 1995 to play this properly. Mouse-scrolling is buggy, and the resolution seems to be cutting off the bottom part of the screen for me. I can't even see the "End Turn" button (tried with different Windows display resolutions, but none worked). I'm still thumbing this up since I'm sure it's a great game. Unfortunately, I cannot enjoy it myself. I recommend War in the East 2 or something like that instead. Order of Battle is also pretty good.
panzer general allied general pacific general still the best ever wish it had infinite turns cheat though
Можно выбирать стороны, единственное, если играть за "злодеев", то нужно давать полный экспериенс, минуя повестку.
Five Star General is one of my favorite game series of all time. Delighted to see Pacific General *mostly* runs on a Steam Deck. It's essentially rock-paper-scissors with tanks and solidiers and planes and, in this one, lots and lots of ships.
ok das war nix .... schönes game kannte ich von früher aber.... umsetzung is nix nicht vernünftig spielbar schade
