Story is pretty impressive & twisted with those choices, I've tried all da choices in the story & i liked it where they both become alpacas 😭. Music, sound and voices are so good for real, I liked Yukari's Violin play. [her alpaca form was brainrot] [& i'm absolutely done with da whole story]

Pacaplus is a bit of a curiosity. The concept is pretty silly. But the game (or at least the plot) takes it seriously, particularly as time goes on. And it's surprisingly competent when comes to this; Pacaplus does a fine job at portraying it as a genuine problem and source of conflict. That said, it is still a silly visual novel overall. The writing is no masterpiece, but at the same time it's not effortless either. The art is generally nice (though there are a few minor criticisms I had), and the music is fitting, but largely forgettable. The voice acting was nice, I think they did well in making sure the voices matched the characters. I couldn't help but laugh every time I heard alpaca-Yukari speak. It was so silly, I couldn't help but love her voice. Generally I got a slightly amateurish feeling from PacaPlus, though not in a outstanding or disruptive way. Despite the visual novel being fine, I couldn't get into the plot. Or at least, not too much. I'm not entirely sure why this is. Maybe the game is too back-and-forth with the comedy and seriousness. Maybe there was too much comedy. Maybe it was alpaca-Yukari's voice, which admittedly is very funny. I don't know. I just feel the vn would've been better if they doubled down on the comedy rather than try to portray it seriously at certain points Overall, Pacaplus is an enjoyable visual novel. It's not the best visual novel you'll ever play but neither is it the worst. At roughly 6 hours of playtime and considering the quality, the base price is something of a tough sell. I say wait for a sale. If you've come for the absurdity of the visual novel, you will not be disappointed.
