I love survival games, especially ones with lots of progression and looting. (base building, exploration, tasty) This game was great. I don't think it is all it promised to be and the ending falls flat with some unpolished parts (abandon-ware is an appropriate word), but my computer ran it well and it was gorgeous. I'd definitely buy this game again. Would recommend it to anyone who is addicted to survival games. (It is not worth $25. Don't pay full price) The combat was good. There is a point where it is very overwhelming and difficult till you manage to get some decently upgraded weapons. (Small Spoiler) My biggest difficulty was the dark seekers who I couldn't beat until I had a better kit, and they spawn in after so many nights, which puts a cap on how long you can survive. Fortunately your dead body and progress sticks around and you can respawn as a new sleeper, so it isn't game ending, but definitely a challenge I felt accomplished overcoming. My favorite part was the multitude of ways you can upgrade yourself, which is a big plus for any game I play. The environment also feels cool, seekers fighting infected, etc. All the locations were immersive (until you go underneath the city or to the bot lab or nanite leaks (game definitely didn't seem finished in those areas).
A hidden gem of a game. It may be a little rough around the edges but its well worth your time and money. A very enjoyable game that died too soon. If you have any interest pick it up, it really is a fun experience if you give it a chance.
Vaporware, Abandoned, incomplete. While that being said it can be fun if bought at a discount for like 5 bucks
P.a.m.e.l.a Its Good Game it got a lot of charm. good Combat great immersion good story Its an underrated gem. i just beat the game. So it is a Complete Game. A good one to. As for bugs there are some but there a easy way to fix A LOT of them. Here's how to fix like 95% of the game breaking bugs (go to Options then General scroll down to Tutorial set it to Never ) that fixes 95% of the bugs i do not no way but it worked for me. There is no hand holding in the story but the tutorial being off will not be missed i think it popping up makes the game bug out or mouse lockup. O and game length 21+ to 40+ hours i think. your time may vary i did it 21.9 hours. I played it when it was in beta that helped my time i think and then forgot it for like 4 or 5 years..... it why my play times 102 hours. o and the loot is all random that help replayability. anyway hope that helps someone.
I have to say this first, i love this game but the fact that the game is abandoned in a buggy (not game breaking as far as i can tell) state, unpolished areas, is a bit sad especially for the price. the setting is just oozing with wasted potential, the story is not bad, I find it interesting, I wish for someone to be able to pick up this game and ether remake it or continue it.
I remember loving when Game Informer magazine would get delivered to my house and I'd get to read up on all the latest gaming news! I first heard about this game on there and would constantly follow the development updates, continuously playing each update on a game I adored for being a survival game set in a sci-fi realm that I felt really captured the feeling of being alone in a utopian world gone wrong. Unfortunately, that all came to an end when development suddenly stopped, and slowly did my desire to play the game. I cannot wholeheartedly recommend this game as it is now a buggy and unfinished mess that I'm sure many other survival games would scratch that itch. If you do manage to snag for a few bucks, then feel free! It's a spectacle into what could've been a spectacular sci-fi horror survival experience. Hopefully someone will make something similar and I'd love to play something like that. Farewell...
The game is very incomplete and still has bugs. I've been playing the game off and on. The concept of the game is great, the graphics are decent just falls short in my opinion in completeness. if the game is on a 75% or more off i would check it out, who knows maybe it will bring the devs back to complete the game.
this game is DAYUM AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, I wish this game wasn't abandoned. It's incredibly ambitious, but executes its ideas pretty well. It's a great atmosphere, desperate and often frightening, with an interesting base-building framework. I even really enjoyed the way the menu interface was done, a lot of cool little things were building up to be an awesome gaming experience. I'd buy this game again if it rose from the dead, but for now it's just a memory.
