About
OVRLRD is a true mech simulator inspired by the classics, with a voice-acted single-player campaign, fully-featured mission editor, and native built-in VR support.
Influenced by games like Steel Battalion, VTOL VR and MechWarrior 3, OVRLRD puts you in a fully-simulated cockpit, controlling a complex war machine. Use your mouse, keyboard, HOTAS or VR controllers to manipulate physical buttons, switches, levers, throttles, joysticks and more.
Stomp tanks, blast infantry, strafe other mechs in close quarters, snipe the legs off your foes at mid-range, or rain artillery down on enemy bases from miles away. An OVRLRD operator is expected to dominate the battlefield in every role.
Embark on an intriguing single-player campaign written by a published sci-fi author, following in the large mechanical footsteps of the classics. You'll run routine patrols, long-range combat engagements, low-profile reconnaissance missions and more.
Stomp through the campaign, then meet your match in multiple skirmish game modes where the battlefield is different each time, but full of smashable buildings and forests you can raze to the ground.
Not interested in mission generators? Get the human touch with freely shareable custom missions.
You heard me. The tools I use to make the campaign are at your fingertips. Use the powerful, intuitive mission editor to sculpt terrain, build cities, assemble armies and design missions with fully operational narrative flows. Triggers, scripted events, AI behaviours and more are in your toolbox, and you can share it all for free on the Steam Workshop!

An OVRLRD platform is a collection of dangerous systems working in tandem, and one mistake can spell disaster. An OVRLRD operator must maintain combat effectiveness while managing system temperature and coolant levels, sensor capabilities, targeting systems, drone optics and leg stability - as well as compensating for damaged or lost subsystems. Watch your step!
OVRLRD's custom environment system tracks the havoc you wreak across the world. Use your fifty-foot war machine to smash down buildings, scar the countryside with craters and scorchmarks, track enemy mechs by their footprints and level everything when your reactor detonates.
No more cramped caves, fenced-off quarries or conveniently small arenas. You'll operate in massive outdoor environments at milsim-scale. Burn through forested hills, snipe from treacherous mountaintops, and carve paths through windswept grasslands with simulated rain, lightning, wildfires and dust storms.
Problems with motion sickness? Have a certain way you like to play? OVRLRD comes with a large and growing list of VR comfort settings, from blocking out peripheral cockpit windows and reducing visual noise to disabling aim kick and cockpit tilting. Accessibility requests are taken seriously and I want to ensure that everyone who wants to can play OVRLRD.

This game needs to exist! A cockpit mech sim with VTOL VR like controls is just too great a concept to miss out on. Very excited to see where this goes!
It's like VTOL VR + Mechwarrior had a baby.
I've been following this since very early and, it's progressed from tech demo, to legit VTOL for Mechs, and I couldn't be more excited for 1.0!
It's good, still EA so it needs a bit of polish but I don't regret buying this and showing my support for what the dev will make in the future
This game has an insane learning curve but what little I've played has been fun. Once the 1.0 update drops, I think I'll be ready to commit the time needed to learn how to not die.
It takes some getting used to the controls, and needs more content, but overall it is a very nice VR implementation.
I am really enjoying my time playing this in VR. The calibration can be slightly janky at times but it is managable enough not to ruin the overall fun. Just so people know, the current Search and Destroy Campaign mission is not finishable, as the dev forgot to update the objective after removing 2 tanks from the mission, so be wary. It is just super cool controlling a full mech with switches, buttons and joysticks in VR. Only for just that alone I'd recommend this game. I had to do the tutorials twice though as the first time around I didn't catch everything well but now I'm already decently happy about my skills :D The dev is working on a campaign overhaul, so if you're interested in that, maybe wait til that update comes out, otherwise you can buy the game now or on sale, and run any other mission as well. Also, it runs quite well as well.
This mech game satisfies that sim itch for piloting mechs that almost every vr player has im sure, but manages to do it in an approachable way which is intuitive and easy to pick up. would highly recommend for anyone. plus the dev is also great with the community
This is still an EA game, so there's the expectation of a bit of jank here and there. But first hour and I do not regret the money at all, there's something about this game that scratches that mech cockpit itch just right. These feel like actual platforms. Still need to get a hang of aiming and such, there's a coordination skill required that I'm not used to yet (and that's ignoring handling ballistic weapons), I hope I get to spend more time with this Perf was a bit rough on some campaign missions, but that might very well be because of Linux / GPU reasons
It's VTOL VR + MechWarrior - what more could you want?
