Overgrowth is a game that is completely built on a unique combat system. The first thing I want to do is a small comparison with Lugaru, and the only thing I can say is "progress", the author has incredibly progressed since its time, and brought his idea from a crooked game with poor balance, to a beautiful game with pleasant controls. So far I've only completed the main campaign, so I'll judge only by it, but I plan to at least look at all the others if I don't. First of all, it's the graphics, I rarely pay attention to them, and due to the characteristics of my previous laptop, I rarely played games with good graphics, but I liked it here, for 2017 the game looks pretty nice. The worst part of the game is the story, it's not exactly terrible, but it's a bit lacking compared to other parts of the game. And finally, the gameplay, it's really cool, the parkour is pretty simple but interesting, the levels with it weren't bad, and the combat system in the game is simply wonderful, it seemed to me that it was simplified compared to the previous game, but this made it a million times better, the use of weapons is clearer, the larger number of enemies and the ragdoll physics make the battles exciting, and if we go back to Lugaru again, then unlike it, I never got angry in this game, because I understood that every death was entirely my fault. So, the developer has made incredible progress in 12 years, and brought his idea to a very good state, it fully deserves a 7.5/10. P.S. I beat the Lugaru story and didn't die there once, and I was satisfied, so if you're not a fan of old games like me and just want to know the plot, it's better to play it here than in the original.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

It's a good pastime if you can get it for like $5. Anything more than that and it's not worth it.

The core gameplay is really fun but honestly the game is so much better with a few workshop addons. Especially the co-op one, playing this in a cooperative way with someone is absolutely delightful. Highly recommended.
Pretty great game. I found the combat and movement to be a fun challenge with good potential if mastered, and I was surprisingly immersed in the stories and environments. A solid 8/10. All it needs is a bit more polishing.
This is actually a cool fighting stealth game. Ive absolutely loved it! I recommend
this game kicks ass and if your considering buying it i feels sorry that you may never know the hidden ball knowledge that is OVERGROWTH, the physics based combat plus the sweet early 2000's style graphics kicks ass, and i know that i already said that but it's so true that i had to say it twice.
I played the whole game and finished everything there was to finish within a day... The game is short as heck! The blood dripping system and combat mechanics are very fun to use, but it lacks a lot of features and other mechanics that the first game "Lugaru" had (The combat & movement were more complex). Ex. You were able to sprint on all 4 paws in the prequel game (Lugaru). The game feels like it is still in the state of being an "Alpha". The game supports workshop addons, but it seems the devs themselves seem to depend a bit too much on their own fanbase to create addons for the game! There are good addons, but not so many, which kinda limits what you can do in-game (Plz, guys; create more mods) The game is pretty laggy, I had to get community addons to optimise it a bit, and also lower my resolution and graphics. I personally enjoyed it, but it is a niche game and not everyone would appreciate it. There are 3 campaigns within the Vanilla version of the game, but all of them are a bit boring due to the lack of voice acting, dialogue and cutscenes, except "Therium 2". The first campaign is about slavery, the second is about the protagonist's family getting murdered and then going on to genocide the race that did it, the third is "Therium 2" which has many different endings that depend on your choices, and the last but not least is Drika's story which I found to be the most peaceful out of them all but not particularly interesting (You just walk around and only at the end you happen to fight a puss in boots) This game shines when you play the Arena modes or try out what the community created for it. I recommend buying it only if you are interested in its gore system, or if you like Arenas (yes, the arena is very fun) Make sure to get a better deal on it though, this game ain't worth 19.50 Euros, more like 8 euros at most It has many issues, bugs and it lacks content. It doesn't deserve a thumbsup at the moment.
This game is very fun, and has very fluid, realistic physics and combat. One thing when you start installing mods: prepare for crashes and a buncha Google searches.
