Beat your inner demons without attacking them, in this extremely difficult platformer about how grief changes one's perception of the world. It is an expression of the developer's experience with cancer and heartbreak.

I nice simple game for a first time developer, if this is their starting work I hope to see more https://youtu.be/BAaHAdEP8hI #NOTE: I did receive this game as a reviewer but my thought and idea about Overcome are my own without influence by the Developer
Full review at: https://thegamehoard.com/2019/04/29/overcome-pc/ Overcome wears its tale of emotional turmoil in an easily readable manner, but by being direct with much of its imagery, it manages to capture not only what the developer was going for, but its metaphors allow it to encompass the many different struggles a person’s heart faces in life. This concept even extends into the level of challenge on offer, Overcome providing difficult but fair play that manages to remain enjoyable despite the inevitable setbacks. Your small skill set expands in simple ways to keep the game growing as you reach the end of a somewhat short experience, but keeping it compact also ensures even its toughest moments can be conquered in a decent time frame. With its focus on timing your actions and enemy manipulation, it remains a decent challenge up until you’ve finally overcome all the game has thrown at you. A microcosm of the joys players get from overcoming tough gaming challenges, Overcome juxtaposes the satisfaction of getting past a hard platforming segment with that of making progress on a real life emotional problem, all without saying anything to tell such a tale. Things are on the nose in its favor, the player not needing to look too deep for an apparent statement on the struggle of maintaining mental health.
Ye.
I'm coming back to this game after forgetting about it and it truly is a beautiful game that deserves giving a good play.
Cute pis toff, un bon ptit jeu
Cute game with a nice little twist at the end. Some difficult sections, but overall nothing rage-inducing. Movement felt really good, which is crucial for platformers of this type. Enemies and the different combinations you encounter require you to use the mechanics in creative ways. Nice soundtrack Can definitely feel the developer's message and heart, ggs
I enjoyed this game, but I wouldn't call it extremely difficult. This game is maybe medium-difficult. I don't know if maybe I just found it easy, but $10.99 is a high price for a game that only lasts an hour and a half. I can see in other users comments how long they spent on the game. Some people spent an hour in total game play and others spent longer than 24 hours. I still recommend this game for people who like a challenge, but it might not be as difficult as you would want it to be. You should look up some game play online to see if it's a good game to you.
Not often a fan of platformers but i can say with genuine honesty this game gave me a feeling of enjoyment that not even the "top" games can provide. Being a well balanced game with quite a difficult rage enhancing game mechanic (in a fun way) has really brought me merriment. The underlying meaning of the game i also found to be very deep and really helps and encourages the player onward. Overall i highly recommend this game and to any that are considering purchasing please i urge you for your own sake give it a go its definitely worth it. Indulge yourself in happiness. <3 Genuine (non biased) rating 9/10 truly well done Kabir <3
