Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.14/day in the week to Aug 20 → 109.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
A WW1 action game built around fully destructible battlefields where chaos reigns supreme. Explosions tear through terrain, fortifications collapse, and the front line can change shape minute to minute.
Over The Top: WWI turns the grim setting of the Great War into a frantic playground of destruction where plans rarely ever survive first contact.
Charge as a rifleman, build as an engineer, clear trenches as a pyromaniac flamethrower specialist, or call in airstrikes as an officer. Each class has a clear job on the battlefield, plus plenty of room for improvisation. Choose from three factions: France, Britain, or Germany, each with eight distinct classes. Unlock new equipment and customization as you play.
A dynamic, destructive WW1 Sandbox: blow up everything, dig anywhere, reshape trenches, collapse buildings, destroy fortifications. Explosions leave permanent changes that affect sightlines, routes, and cover. Fight across multiple maps, playable in different seasons and daytimes. Use the full map editor to create and share your own battlegrounds.
Dive into massive 200-player battles! Drop into the middle of an epic war movie, packed with flying debris, collapsing trenches, charging tanks and objectives changing hands as the ground itself gets carved up - pure multiplayer madness awaits you.
Bring flamethrowers, poison gas, shovels, dynamite, artillery, airplanes, machine guns, and a lineup of vehicles and experimental tanks. Gear up with a mix of historical weapons, use a vast lineup of different vehicles, and other items: slap enemies with a baguette or play the bagpipe to boost morale! Have you ever driven a tank with 10 other players inside? In our game, you can do so!

Reviews
Dead Developers, Over The Top: WWI is honestly an amazing game. It’s fun, intense, addicting, and very well developed. Most of the comments and reviews say the same thing: a lot of people genuinely love this game. Please invest more in marketing. The online player count has dropped dramatically and it keeps going down. It used to have thousands of players, and now it’s barely around 300 online. That’s sad to see because the game deserves way more attention. Please promote it heavily on all social media platforms. Work with YouTubers, streamers, and gaming creators so more people can try the game and spread the word. This is a great WWI game with a lot of potential. Please don’t let it fade away, let more people around the world know about it. We all love this game!

It's a good game, the players are normally funny, shouting whatever nonsense whilst charging into battle, it's just a shame that the game has died so quickly. At the time of posting this there are only 170 players in-game, when I checked the night before there was only around 250 players. Considering it only released in March 2026, dying in around 7 weeks has got to be some sort of achievement. It was fun whilst it lasted! I would come back to this game if the player count jumped again.
Loved it when people played it. Servers never have people in them anymore.... Somehow died faster than Holdfast's WW1 mode.
it was a really fun game for the 3 or so months it lasted. I'm sitting here on a friday night looking at a server browser with only 2 active servers. one for eu and one for na and the player count of both of them add up to one full server. I wish I could recommend this game but its only worth while if you don't mind playing with bots.
This game features WWI battles with trench warfare as its primary focus. You and your yappy comrades will dig, yell over the hot mic, and get randomly blown up until you die and respawn until the round ends. You have an array of tools and weapons to choose from, and things to throw across the trenches. Want some AP grenades to lob at your enemies? Want some white phosphorus? Want artillery that blows up bodies into the sky? How about a flamethrower? If you said yes to any of those, then this game is for you, recruit. Don't worry, trolls, hackers, and others are dealt with at a faster speed than other AAA studios. All around a good, fun game for a few hours.
Fun, but already has lost most of its players in just 2 months of its release unfortunately.
Verdun, Tannenberg, Isonzo.
GER: TLDR am Schluss. Dafür nach unten scrollen. ENG: TL;DR at the end. Scroll down for it. English Review at the bottom. ENGLISH REVIEW This game is fun at first, but it quickly reaches its limits and simply becomes frustrating in the long run. The primary focus is on a "run-and-gun" style of combat within a World War I setting. Tactical play is limited, mostly involving the construction of trenches. You can build trenches and other fortifications—which is arguably the most fun part of the game—but since there is only a two-minute preparation phase at the start of a round, there is hardly any time to set up a proper defensive position. Consequently, you often get quickly overrun. Unfortunately, the range of buildable structures is limited, so repeatedly constructing the same things becomes boring quite fast. This makes it difficult to develop new strategies to halt the enemy. The game bills itself as an FPS (First-Person Shooter), yet the focus is clearly on the third-person perspective. First-person animations are lackluster, and aiming relies on a crosshair rather than iron sights. Competitors like *Verdun*, *Tannenberg*, *Isonzo*, and *Gallipoli* handle this aspect much better. Movement mechanics are designed to be quite casual. You practically glide across the ground; you can crouch, but you cannot go prone. There are far too many automatic weapons in this game! While rifles usually kill in a single shot, players with machine guns have a distinct advantage; they can operate them like submachine guns, effectively becoming a "one-man army." Flamethrowers are also prevalent and instantly lethal; you are liable to be greeted around any corner by an automatic Steyr M1912, a mobile machine gunner, or a flamethrower. Melee combat is an option and features a solid system, yet it rarely comes into play because you are usually up against automatic weapons or get shot by a hidden enemy before you can close the distance. The maps reflect exactly what one imagines the Western Front of World War I to be: small, intact... Villages from the early stages of the war, fields crisscrossed by trenches and barbed wire, and French forts built on a full wartime scale. However, 90% of the maps are anything but balanced; many favor either the attackers or the defenders. The only map that has been reasonably balanced so far is the forest map featuring the village. There are also tanks in the game. However, if you are unlucky enough to be on the opposing side (the Central Powers), you will quickly learn to hate them. Columns of up to seven tanks can advance on you. You can only take them out if your team uses some tactical sense and everyone focuses their fire accordingly. But when facing more than two tanks, things get dicey, and holding your position becomes nearly impossible. ENGLISH TLDR: -Good building system, mediocre execution, too little build time at the start of the round. -Not an FPS but rather a third-person shooter; poor first-person animations. -Too many automatic weapons; heavy machine guns handle like submachine guns; flamethrowers are overrepresented. -Very good melee system, though it rarely comes into play due to the gameplay's heavy reliance on automatic weapons. -Some maps are designed to heavily favor either the attackers or the defenders. -There are many tanks, and they are very powerful; stopping them requires the entire team's effort. So, this isn't the game for those who were hoping for an improved version of Verdun.
