Outlast 2 introduces you to Sullivan Knoth and his followers, who left our wicked world behind to give birth to Temple Gate, a town, deep in the wilderness and hidden from civilization. Knoth and his flock are preparing for the tribulations of the end of times and you’re right in the thick of it.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.43/day in the week to Aug 18 → 18.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I think this game was good, but I prefer the original. Like the first, it had an effectively foreboding atmosphere, and I liked the increased thematic significance of religion. There were lots of great visuals, and I really liked the eeriness of the classroom sections. My biggest disappointment was the lack of Murkoff. They were relevant in the events, but as a background presence. The Testament of the New Ezekiel cult wasn’t as strong as Mount Massive because it lacked intrigue and mystery, feeling awfully derivative. The narrative lacked the secrets, experiments, and corruption otherwise present in the first. Similarly, it lacked an effective villain, like Eddie Gluskin, to deliver its horror through. The gore was plentiful, but it never felt as impactful or disgusting because it wasn’t particularly intimate or visceral. I recommend this if you enjoyed the first. It's largely standalone, so you don't necessarily need to play the original first to follow this.
