This is a terrible continuation to the series. New levels have terrible design, far worse than original series. There's new level in this game, calles "robot wants justice", it's by far hardest and least fun to play: enemies just don't die unless you manage to knock them off to lava after 50 attempts, it's unclear how to defeat bosses too, level design is not near to the original series. It's not "I wanna be the guy", it's a silly robot game. But it's not the worst part of the game, the worst part is the in-game shop. You would think you start with all the levels and can play original series right from the start? No, you are able to play a worse and smaller version of 1st game and only that. After you clear it, it turns out you won't have enough coins to buy another game in the shop and you have to repeat the level. Quite fun, right, playing the same level twice? After that you can buy new game. Either classic version of 1st game, harder "remix" version, or new, "easier" and worse versions of 2 other games. And the worst part is that you can only buy "robot wants puppy" and "robot wants fishy". If you want "robot wants ice cream" or "robot wants Y", or the new "robot wants justice" you have to get to them, and you won't know what you'll have to buy to get to them. And even then, you start with buying smaller version and collect coins to buy classic version of games. It could be tolerable if at least classic versions were available outright, but developer doesn't know target audience. tl;dr New levels and new version of old games are terrible, you can't play classic games right away, have to spend hours of grinding. Just download and play flash games, don't buy this game.

Imagine my DELIGHT when I was itching to play my number one childhood game, Robot Wants Fishy, and discovered that I could PAY the dev for making one of my favourite games ever (and get MORE GAMES) On top of the nostalgia though, I absolutely love this instalment to death. I never knew about the existence of Y and Ice Cream somehow, but now I have them all in one convenient location. And as an achievement hunter who kinda sucks at video games, I adore that you can use cheats to get the speedrun achievements, which means all I have to do is know the path to take in that level and turn on invincibility and I'm pretty much set (or not know where I'm going at all and turn on infini-jumps and invincibility). My only real gripe is that the shop system is a bit oddly scaled, you'll need to play the easy mode robot wants kitty a couple times before you can get the next level. Honestly though, as someone who likes to explore the entire map completely before finishing, once you start going on classic/remix maps, this is really not a problem. Equipping the right mutators (Loot and Goodies) will get you coins real fast, and the game does reward you for exploration, with extra coinage for getting all upgrades, finding the star, killing all the enemies, etc. I think the case when this really becomes a problem is when you're sitting down to play the game for a long time. This functions very much as a "I want to play a game but am scared of commitment" style game. I liked it the most when I was picking it up for a 15-30 minute brain break, or whenever I just wanted to play Robot Wants Fishy for the thousandth time, NOT when I was playing for hours and hours just to grind out getting one specific hyperfixation achievement. Tl;Dr: If you were ever a fan of Robot wants Kitty/Puppy/Fishy/Y/Ice Cream - pick up this game! Support your indie flash devs! 11/10 game for a quick revisit of that nostalgia whenever you're craving it. And an absolute romp of a time for low effort achievement hunters. Wish I could give two thumbs up

I loved the originals of these games and this offers so much more than a simple collection. I like the option for all the difficulty levels as well as extra game modes that never got published as full games. There are so many things to do and ways to mess with the gameplay in fun ways (different chassis, cheats, buffs, etc.)

I never played any of the original Robot Wants It All flash games like Robot Wants Kitty so this was my first experience with them but they hold up to this day and it's cool to see what the games where like! https://youtu.be/8lyhycbnDNM

The new game (Robot Wants Justice) features incredibly brilliant design, such as invisible enemies that insta-kill you if you touch them, also you get to experience being the wimpiest robot in space, each one of your attacks having the approximate effectiveness of a fly farting in the wind.

Solid, not much to call spectacular but if you enjoy this kind of gameplay you'll have a good time

These games introduced me to metroidvanias as a kid and playing them now as an adult is just as fun as it was before. Heavily recommended, but with a few setbacks. New content is sorta 60% good and 40% eh. The Easy levels felt redundant than they are necessary and I don't know why you couldn't just play the Classic versions of the games from the get-go rather than these "lite" versions, and besides Ice Cream and maybe Y the Remix levels felt like they made everything fun about each game unfun. I kinda feel like the modifiers and alternate skins didn't go through enough playtesting to even be possible to play, let alone finish with minimal penalties. The Tankbot chassis is a MASSIVE example of this cus apparently you can just get softlocked in certain parts of any level ever due to how slow you are and how it limits your jump. I don't really have a big problem with the shop, I think it's fine, though I wish the main Classic levels were either playable as soon as you boot up the game for the first time or at least be locked to chronological progression, and just forgoing the Easy levels entirely, instead of grinding for in-game currency, and have the shop just be restricted to bonus content, more levels and such. Related to the shop: The money system is kinda backwards cus you if don't play optimally you will need to replay previous levels of games just to grind money from enemies (they won't respawn unless you're playing the masterpiece that is Ice Cream). Luckily I only needed to do this once just to unlock the games, though I'd expect some people to find the process monotonous. The Award system is also an aspect that I'm not too fond of because it discourages exploration and taking your time you can get negative awards that will subtract your total money if you take too long, die too many times or just shooting while you feel like it. I think this should've just been a bonus thing and not affect your money all together. Very mixed feelings about the new collection exclusive Robot Wants Justice cus while features the most fun moveset Robot has ever had and has some legitimately creative gameplay, it's held back by weird enemy and hazard design. It's very easy to die by miscalculation and suffocating into a wall because you didn't position yourself correctly before dashing, and the enemies have more health than the ACTUAL BOSSES mind you. I kinda wish this was ironed out more before release but what can you do. If you do wanna play this I heavily recommend NOT binging through every game in a row and probably take a few days off, at least between Ice Cream and Y cus having to play the god given gift that is Robot Wants Ice Cream then going through Y then Justice kinda soured the mood for me lol. But either way this is still a fun romp to play through and hope that dev keeps doing what they love!
