Our Home, My Keeper

Our Home, My Keeper is a wonderful collaboration between Studio Elan and Ebi-hime, which are both known for making wonderful indie visual novels. OHMK is a Yuri kinetic visual novel. For those who do not know, kinetic means that the visual novel has no choices, and you are just along for the ride to enjoy the story. Since there are no choices, there is only one ending and the game is easy to get all the Steam achievements if you care about that (which I do :D). OHMK opens with Paige, a children's book author, who is struggling with writer's block. She decided to buy a house out int eh countryside to get a change of pace to hopefully get the creative juices flowing. But this house is a little odd, and Paige starts to see weird things. eventually we are introduced to the fairy Faye. Now I'm not going to go into more details since the whole point is to enjoy the story. So let's focus on the other stuff. The art is fantastic. The CGs, the sprites, and the backgrounds all look just amazing, so gorgeous. The music is very nice a fitting the story. I also appreciated that every time a new song started, a window in the top popped up and stated what the name of the song was. The story overall is pretty good, but the beginning was pretty slow. After an hour or so, I really got into the story and was wanted to see how everything concluded. that being said it only took me about 4 hours to complete the entire thing, so it is a pretty short kinetic visual novel. I do have mixed feelings on the price, since the game is so short though. So if you can go ahead and buy the game, but if money is tight then this may be a good one to grab on sale.

wonderful visual novel written by genre legend ebi-hime which touches on writers block, the fae, and the horrors of living in the English countryside (/s). the art is beautiful, the soundtrack is great, and the premise was really fun. I only wish it pushed the romance further before Faye [spoiler]got her new body![/spoiler]. absolutely worth reading, but be warned the game does contain many, many typos at the time of this review.

With around 5 hours of story time (depending on your reading speed), this story was a very pleasant adventure to me. The art style is really cute, the plot was interesting enough for its length, and the characters were very endearing. I can only recommend it. My only wish would be to have it voiced, but it's just an extra thought. Maybe one day?

this was good but i find the idea of a doll coming alive through fae possession and a [spoiler]fifteen year old girl so easily forgiven for stabbing someone[/spoiler] more believable than the idea of a 28 old novelist being able to afford a house in this day and age

Nice short story. Interesting to read but not as focused on romance as you might expect. Art is very beautiful and some nice music too.

a fairly short story, but def worth it!!!! the artstyle is beautiful, and the relationship and development between the mc, her mindset and faye was very lovely to read .. i enjoyed it a lot :)

I loved this game so so soooo much Truly beautiful and lovely story and the characters are just the sweetest Both the main character and the love interest are just so cute as always i adore ebi-hime's writing and the artwork was especially beautiful, as was the music in conclusion: Girls kissing 10/10

What a cute story! Despite frequently reading yuri manga, light novels or visual novels I somehow never read a Studio Elan vn yet, until this collab with ebi-hime - and I was definitely missing out! Ebi-hime is obviously an excellent writer, and this vn also doesn't disappoint, so I will definitely be playing more from Ebi-hime and Studio Elan The story was so fun that I read most of it in one sitting! Faye is just such a perfect character. I think there needs to be a new rule for visual novels: they have to include Faye! Or any ball-jointed heroine, tbh. We need more doll love interests! It's not just Faye that's fantastic, the story, the cuteness and the art are all rlly good too! Really fun visual novel teehee, defs recommend if you like yuri, fairies and/or dolls

Our Home, My Keeper is a very fun read, with likeable characters and an interesting mystery.

had me on the edge of my seat, twas truly a magical experience.
