Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 10.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
In a solar system cut-off from a ravaged Earth, you play as a scavenger trying to make a living in the dredges of space. Wage-slave scrapper life isn’t enough anymore, and at last you’ve pulled together the funds (plus a hefty loan) to have a go at independence.
Based in the same universe as Blue Bottle Game’s last hit NEO Scavenger, learn to manage your dysfunctional crew and ship as you fend off bankruptcy...or worse.
Every choice you make will affect the outcome of the game. In character creation, you’ll use a Career Kiosk to shape your character’s background, income, and qualifications. Use it to customise your traits and skillset, which will be essential when managing your ship, its crew, and anyone sticking their noses in your business. You’ll start out the game with enemies, ex-lovers, and acquaintances to seek out… or avoid. Just remember your early decisions will affect your options and outcomes in conversations down the line.
Build your dream ship from the ground up, using detailed, functional parts. Scavenge “pre-loved” parts in the boneyard to upgrade your ship - finding old or rare parts in the system is much cheaper than tracking down the original manufacturer. Who has time to scour the solar system? Hook up subsystems, add extra power and fuel, and be sure to replace parts which have worn out during your adventures. Parts are essential to your experience and will change how your ship feels to fly.
“I cannot change the laws of physics, Captain!” In Ostranauts you will be piloting a ship under the laws of Newtonian flight, learning to fly using in-world manuals and sheets. It will be your job to manipulate control panels, flip switches, and to resist the urge to press the big shiny red button… Every craft has a different flight feel based on thrusters, hull mass, and how you’ve customised the ship. Remember to use a light touch whilst docking, and try not find yourself in the outer rim with an empty fuel gauge.
Even in the darkest corners of space, you are not alone. Each character you encounter runs an AI that is constantly making choices based on their current needs and past experiences. They have physiological and emotional needs, ranging from basic wants like food, oxygen and water all the way up to deeper needs like intimacy and security. As captain, keep an eye out at the space port, scout out a crew and build those relationships. Your background will shape out how you are able to interact with other characters and if they will join your ship - have you developed a silver tongue or does fear rule your ship?
Based in the same universe as NEO Scavenger, Ostranauts will be rich with lore for those who wish to explore. After the collapse of civilization on Earth, colonies and factions formed - colonising other planets, moons and asteroids - with only those able to adapt to the harshness of space able to survive. As states and corporations spread their reach through the System, whispers of unexplained phenomena are creeping through back channels.
Blue Bottle Games encourages players to join the Discord, share modding ideas, and to help grow the world of Ostranauts. Modders who want to make their experience more unique are able to edit a wide variety of game data - most of the game's data is in plain-text files for easy access. If you have an inquiry, send us a message in either the Blue Bottle or Kitfox Discord.

I'll start out by saying that v1.0 feels like it was rushed out with pressure from the publisher. This game is not what I'd call in a finished state, and still feels, and plays like an early access title. I feel the removal of the early access tag is going to disappoint and frustrate people who are expecting a feature complete, polished experience. This is not a feature complete, polished experience. (Yet) With that being said, the developer is still actively pushing fixes and new content, and intends to continue pushing fixes and new content. There's no other game out there that really begins to offer the same experience as Ostranauts, the analog, interactive UI style is brilliant, and the game has a wonderful atmosphere to it that really immerses me.
This is not 1.0 ready. Security rams into you every time they try to dock, even if it's just for an inspection, NPCs still just randomly kill themselves around the stations if they have access to a suit, things that were acceptable in a pre release project that should not be here in a finished game. Really disappointed by how this turned out.

Early access casualty. Cannot recommend as a finished product. Like it a lot as an early access title though.
At time of this review, I have not scratched the surface on many of the games more advanced mechanics. However, this is one of the most fun games I have played in some time and glad I decided to give it a shot. The difficulty is not as bad as others make it out to be, especially in terms of flying. If you have time in a flight sim, or flight sim like game, like Star Citizen especially, it's easy to understand how flying in vacuum works. The only disappointing part of the game to me so far is the social system. You could have a beautiful, charismatic character that is good friends with an NPC and it seems like every conversation goes to them insulting you, or brushing you off. Would love to see that worked on. But, other than that, I'm hooked on this game.
very good
So there I was, attached to a derelict ship. I had spotted it using my optical scanners, and it seemed to be large, and relatively intact. I had about 16 hours left on my salvage license, but I'd forgotten to charge my batteries before undocking from OKLG, and only had about an hour worth of power. Plenty of time, it was only 7 minutes at a relatively light burn from the station, I could go in, check it out, grab enough to pay my docking fees and refueling costs and get back. I hit paydirt. There was a nearly fully intact REACTOR on board that thing. The most valuable thing I've found so far. I'm really glad I had spent the time to expand my little flying coffin recently, added a crucial few square meters of storage space, I managed to fit the entire reactor core onboard, along with a few of the more valuable parts. When suddenly, disaster struck. One of my batteries caught fire, probably from all the renovations I did to get that extra storage space. I rushed back to my ship, dropping the fusion core pump I had been hauling back, to quickly put out the fire. That was only the start of the problem though. My ship is barely rated for operation, it's little more than a bottle of oxygen, a bottle of nitrogen, and a pair of air pumps. No filtration. My pressure suit doesn't have onboard oxygen, it only grabs a sample of what's in the air when I put it on. The air was filled with smoke. I turn off the oxygen and nitrogen, and turn on the airlock air pump. It's not enough, can't bottle the air fast enough. I'm starting to get dizzy in my pressure suit, not enough oxygen. So I force open the airlock. My ship is exposed to the hard vacuum of the derelict, and quickly vents to match. I close the airlock. I turn off the airlock air pump. I turn on the oxygen and nitrogen. I haul in the fusion core pump, I take off my pressure suit breathing easy, I undock, and I head back to OKLG to sell my salvage, refuel, and make my mortgage payment for this flying coffin, due every 6 hours. I think I'll spend the next shift doing some repairs to the batteries before flying back for some more of those reactor parts. And then a conduit and an RCS thruster catch fire again this time on OKLG, I suffer burns trying to put it out, and I die. I reloaded a save because ♥♥♥♥ that.
Belter life simulator.
All systems are half baked. Great concept, but combat is shallow, inventory management is badly designed, pawns control system is not really working (hauling one by one seriously), social is spam, ship building is not deep, UX is just plain bad, sprites are not too my taste, story / exploration... The concept is great, but the implementation: not worth it at the moment. Wish this game the best for the concept and the start was fun :)
I wanted to like the game so much but its just so jank. I like a little bit of jank but I mean who on earth designed the conversation and combat system like are you on crack? Every time I start a playthrough something stupid happens. came back to kleg and someone set it on fire. go out salvaging well all of a sudden my eva suit that had full battery and oxygen and condition just stops working. building system is jank as hell.
The best space junker sim I think I'll see in my lifetime. Until, of course, my brainscan crammed in a robot body is sent to scrap hulks in lunar orbit 100 years from now
