Amazing game, but a bit too short. The art is beautiful, the mechanics and animation is amazing, love the effects! The only issue i found was that it took awhile to get into it, the start was a bit monotone, but once you pick up the pace it becomes great!
Definitely one of the best games I've played, finished it for like the 5th time now and the story still makes me tear up!
The movement is weird and i haven't battle a boss that has trapped me in the same room as it but those 2 things are the only problems i have so far (i will 100% the game so the second problem will probably be solved)
He jugado muchísimos títulos independientes de primer nivel, joyas del calibre de Inside, Limbo, Little Nightmares, Planet of Lana, Gris, Rime o Far: Lone Sails.
4/10 max - lvl designer should be fired.
Ori and the Blind Forest is a hand-painted metroidvania from Moon Studios that tells the story of a small forest spirit trying to restore a dying world. From the opening minutes it makes its intentions clear, delivering a wordless prologue that lands harder than most games manage across entire campaigns. What follows is a tightly paced journey through the forest of Nibel, one that pairs genuine emotional weight with some of the most precise platforming in the genre. Movement is where the game truly excels. Ori controls with an immediacy that feels almost weightless, and each new ability layers cleanly onto the last until you are chaining wall jumps, dashes, and Bash launches into a single unbroken flow. Bash in particular is a stroke of design brilliance, letting you ricochet off enemies and projectiles to redirect momentum in midair, turning hazards into tools. The escape sequences, especially the Ginso Tree, are among the finest set pieces in any 2D platformer, demanding total mastery of everything you have learned while the screen erupts around you. Presentation is equally exceptional. The art direction is luminous and layered, with parallax depth that makes every screen feel like a painting in motion, and the game's score elevates even quiet exploration into something that lingers. The Definitive Edition additions round out the package nicely, folding in the Black Root Burrows area, new abilities, fast travel, and difficulty options that soften the original release's rougher edges without dulling the challenge. The weak spot is combat. Spirit Flame is essentially an auto-targeted spam button, and enemies exist more as movement obstacles than as threats worth engaging with. It never actively hurts the experience since the platforming carries everything, but it is the one system that feels underdeveloped compared to the rest. Backtracking can also drag slightly in the mid-game, though fast travel largely resolves this.

Highlights:

Best in class platforming with responsive, fluid, endlessly satisfying movement
Bash is a genuinely inventive traversal mechanic that reshapes how you read every encounter
Stunning hand-painted visuals and one of the most memorable soundtracks in the medium
Emotionally resonant storytelling told largely without dialogue
Escape sequences that are tense, spectacular, and demanding in the best way
Definitive Edition quality of life changes, including fast travel and difficulty options
Combat is shallow and repetitive, leaning on a single auto-aimed attack

TL;DR: Ori and the Blind Forest is a near flawless metroidvania that pairs sublime platforming with breathtaking art and a score that stays with you long after the credits. Combat is its one soft spot, but everything surrounding it is so confidently crafted that the flaw barely registers. This is an essential entry in the genre.
