About
A silly little Deckbuilding card battler! Attack enemies, Gain Block, Get Cards/Relics, Remove Cards, and kill enemies! However, you can use your cards on more then yourself and enemies:
Use Cards on Status effects!
Damage your Bleed to remove it or at least soften the blow! Heal your own Might to deal even more damage! Heal enemy Bleed to make them die faster!
Use Cards on Enemy intentions!
Destroy enemies attacks, Offense is the best Defense!
Use Cards on Relics!
A relic that lets you use 1 card on all enemies? Great for a deck around building up one super strike! A relic that lets you save a card for next turn? Could help with all sorts of combos. Find all sorts of "Active" relics!
But most importantly...
Combine Card Orbs via Keywords!
Use Cards on Cards! Cards will have all sorts of keywords that change how they work.
Potent cards will increase all Healing and status effects on a card! Useful for stacking all sorts of effects!
Cheap cards will cost less then they would otherwise!
Any more!
These effects are great on their own, but even more powerful when put on another card! Plan your deck around powerful combinations.

Really fun little game! being able to use cards (or orbs) on intents and status effects opens up so many more strategies! really fun, and the artwork is adorable ^-^
I've been following Orb Devils since its conception! The full version is great and the soundtrack bangs. Plenty of fun build archetypes and relics to mess around with. The enemy types require a lot of different strategies to beat as well.
I recommend this game. The combat is quite unique and there are countless different strategies to choose. Enemies are also very different from each other and they have their own weaknesses and strengths. The art style is very great and the music is good. Spoilers: So far for me I beat the first character you play and I have some nitpicks with the game. The first major boss is by far way harder than the second major boss. I died to the angle boss 5 times and was a major roadblock. The boss design is great it was just hard because you racked up so much blood. When I final beat him with a well crafted borderline op strategy I went on to beat the second half of the game with little - moderate challenge. I loved the enemies but I would just power up the 22 damage expend spell, give it vampire, and have it hit all the targets. If it also had multi-hit is would sometimes just insta-win the encounter on the first round. Enemies like the butler + maid, and the cats with guns. The encounter that put up a fight was the ones with the yellow shield they would get every round. That's what I found fun in this game. But I was trying to build this strategy every run before but I wasn't able to get the cards. This game is great and I definitely recommend it to anyone.
Very cool system, and youcan pet everyone
TL;DR : Really cool game, dearly in need of rebalancing, game is worth it for the low price it's at I want to say that I do know the dev a lot and we hang out quite a lot together and I have seen this game go from a silly game jam game to a fully fledged steam game. The gameplay is good, similar to Balatro or any other games where you'd start a game, lose the game, and try over and over again, it has some pretty good potential to become a great, simply addictive game with simple mechanics. My main issues are the following : - When on your first game, it's not clear the character are a pick either or, and you can't go back to the character's panel if you accidentally press escape. - Sometimes in combat, it's not clear you have no more mana, especially if it's a heated combat against a boss, maybe a little red flash behind the mana indicator and a small animation would make it more clear you're out of mana and can't do anything ? Also I think a setting like auto-play or auto-skip could be cool if you reach 0 mana and don't have any 0 mana orbs on your current deck ? - The bosses are way too powerful and can (almost) wipe you out in one turn, I did a few games now (like around 10) and I did not beat or get past the first boss or get anywhere near to defeating the first boss, the cat being able to hit harder is a good and interesting mechanic but it needs tweaking, as it gets high incredibly quickly, even if you focus on shielding, which you can have rounds with none, and the spear guardian hit just really hard. - You start with a lot of orbs, therefore you tend to not see your orbs you just acquired for a while sometimes, I ended up using the burn imp a lot just to get myself a set of orbs I was more comfortable with, aka burning all the regular deal 3 damage 1 bleed orbs, just so the special orbs would show up more often. - Text tutorial is cool, but kinda confusing ? I feel like it would be cool to just throw you in the game right away, with some tutorial character that you have to defeat, moreso letting you play with the orbs away from the enemies. - Lore text always appearing at the start of a game is annoying -Maybe have some sort of "Orbopedia" that you could either consult in the pause menu or have some kind of nerd-looking character that you can go see to see what orbs you have unlocked and which ones you haven't. If you want me to sketch out some of these suggestions for you, feel free to reach out and I'll happily help you ofc :3 Thanks for the great game, can't wait to spend far too long on this
Fun game but it does need some re-balancing as right now it is unfairly difficult with the later enemies, especially the bosses. Would also be nice to pet the enemies like you can pat the characters too
Really fun game. Some of the specific interactions work feels a bit confusing and undertutorialised at first but after picking up on how they work there's a lot of fun strategy to play with. There's a fun variety of cards and encounters with unique rules (the golem was a pretty fun one with how hard it counters some specific build types) and I also really like the character design. the linux version at least has some visual glitches with the UI and there's a pretty major exploit that cheeses most of the game if you know how to trigger it but that didn't really hurt the experience to me.
really fun game! the characters are really cute and charming, and the graphics are similarly really nice, along with some really nice music. However, where this game actually shines is the *gameplay*. the gameplay is so cracked, it's essentially a card battler like slay the spire but with the twist that you can attack status effects and enemy intentions and stuff. An enemy's going to attack you? attack their attack move so they don't. an enemy has the bleed status effect that's going to end? heal the status effect to make it last longer. This simple gameplay combined with a huge number of cards ( or orbs, as they're called in-game ) makes for a wide variety in gameplay builds and refreshing runs. It's a pretty cool game with a pretty cool concept honestly, i really recommend it! the only con about this game is my skill issue ._.
雖然藝術風格很簡單 但消磨時間是很不錯的遊戲 期待更新~
The game is a lot of fun - the charming art, banger soundtrack, and replayable core loop make it an easy recommend. It even comes with a language option for my native tongue. I'm looking forwards to seeing the other bosses the game has in store - as soon as I stop accidentally stabbing myself.
