I like this game. It takes about an hour or less to complete, but thats not an issue. Its fun, short and strange looking. It has challenging parts and a final boss battle. Can recommend.

I nominated this for game of the year.
Oranges are a traditional Christmas gift from the days before candy, but Orange Santa is more than just a gift. His mission is to collect coins to buy Christmas presents. There is characterization. I don't know what a precision platformer is, but I think this is one. Pros * A clear sense of pacing and direction keeps you running, collecting, and shooting * Graphics and sounds are top-notch * Lots of blood * You're basically the Duke Nukem of oranges Cons * Fixed 4:3 aspect ratio (at least on my system, though the trailer shows 16:9) There is no reason to hold a small collectathon platformer to the same standards as a bigger game, yet I found myself strangely compelled to keep collecting. 2 hours later I remembered that life is garbage and temporary, but for those blissful 120 minutes or so, I got to shoot the ♥♥♥♥ out of everything for the orange man's righteous cause. The engine isn't great. I think it's GameMaker. Resist the temptation to care. Just keep collecting with a smile on your face.
Orange Santa is a template flip from Anamik Majumdar, who keeps reskinning the same lame GameMaker Studio game templates and re-releasing them on Steam with a few minor changes. The GameMaker Studio templates he keeps re-releasing are just basic retro pixel (couldn't he rip off a template with proper graphics??) 2D top down/platformer stealth/action games. Here's some other copy + pastes from Anamik of exactly the same game template: The 2D retro pixel platformer template:

Balloon Azuna
Boon Boon
Christmas Cats Revenge
Electronic World Z
Fight For Love
Jaxon The Thief
Keatz: The Lonely Bird
Mission XAM
NightmareZ
Smash Halloween Pumpkins: The Challenge
Super Strawberry Man
The Christmas Gifts
The Hero of Bangaona
The Valley of Super Flowers
Yui Tui
Zack Y
There's also this other template which has been copied+pasted many times: The 2D top down retro pixel stealth/darkness template:

Abandoned Croxon Mansion
Axizon Labs: Zombies
Gaze At Maze
Ghost In The Barn House
Gregor Hills Haunted Hospital
Haunted Jail: Alcatas
Heltons Haunted Hotel
House Number 666
My Haunted Doll
Rescue Rina
The Chills
The Haunted Exmone Theatre
The Haunted Tunnel
And honorable mentions, the two shoot 'em up copy+pastes, Proxy Air Force and Warships on the Halloween Night. These are all basically the exact same GameMaker Studio game templates with a different skin and a couple of things changed. No professional effort was made in terms of game development, using a game construction kit requires no game development talent, and unsurprisingly produces products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. No matter how many times this guy copy+pastes the same game, it's not suddenly going to become anything but garbage. Rehashing the same game over and over again is just a cheap nasty cash grab. While Anamik Majumdar occasionally breaks Valve guidelines for partners and attacks reviewers, any legitimacy he may have is eracticated by the way he pumps these copy+paste asset flips out and bulk sells keys to crapware bundle merchants like DailyIndieGame. It's also important to note Anamik Majumdar has denied using GameMaker Studio to make his asset flips, despite every single one being made with GameMaker Studio. It's unclear why Anamik Majumdar has been misleading about these templated cash grabs. As usual, my recommendation is to never give money to asset flippers and construction kit copy+paste cash grabs, so don't reward this one.
This was the first game by Anamik Majumdar I ever played, so I enjoyed it because of the weirdness, the novelty of a weird orange creature wearing a santa hat carrying a gun. I was picking up any cheap holiday games I could find, and ended up getting three by Anamik without realizing it. All three games are like this, just reskinned. I'd say it's worth getting ONE game by Anamik just to experience it, but no more because they are all the same game just using different imagery.
Incrível, melhor jogo que já joguei na minha vida com certeza valeu a pena
Orange Santa has graced me with his wonderful gifts.
This is the perfect game to give to naughty children to show that you are disappointed in them. Be better children, or I shall make you play this again!
