Opus Magnum is the latest open-ended puzzle game from Zachtronics, the creators of SpaceChem, Infinifactory, and SHENZHEN I/O. Design and build machines that assemble potions, poisons, and more using the alchemical engineer’s most advanced tool: the transmutation engine!

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.29/day in the week to Sep 10 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

incredible game
I cannot recommend this game enough. Great for factory lovers (efficiency!), but also fantastic if you just love puzzles and putting all the right pieces together. Fell in love with Sigmar's Garden sooooo hard. (If all you want to do is sit and play Sigmar's Garden at work or while streaming a show on the side, I recommend the Zachtronics Solitaire Collection. It's on Steam AND mobile, and has each side game from all of the Zachtronics games, plus a new one unique to the collection that honestly was so hard to beat that I literally celebrated my first victory...then played some more.) But Opus Magnum is easily one of my favorites. I got to full completion solely because I refused to put it down and kept wanting more.

From the guy that inspired Minecraft, this game kicks ass, best Puzzle Game
thats magnum
A highly enjoyable Zachlike. Maybe not as demanding as the toughest of his other puzzles, but it is a lovely sensory experience. Watching your clockwork creations working is an absolute delight! (the in-built GIF sharing was a stroke of marketing genius)

Probably the most approachable of the zachlikes. Every puzzle has many possible solutions, so simply solving one is only half the fun. Then comes hours of optimizing to find better solutions. I also find watching the machines in operation mesmerizing.
A really fun automation puzzle game. It's just far enough removed from programming that it doesn't feel like work, but like Zach's other games the real challenge comes from the optimization. Definitely worth $20, and the surprise DLC nearly a decade later was very welcome!
