I am internally beating my younger self for never giving this game a chance. I used to always see this game on sale for like $5 in bargain bins but I never gave any of the games a chance simply because I was too scared of games like this and Resident Evil. This, like the Resident Evil series, has its puzzles and goofy story, but also has one of the best early melee combat systems that today we'd call almost souls-like (and NO this is NOT that at all). Honestly I know I would have loved this just as much as I did Devil May Cry as it has a similar structure mainly cause this is the work that would eventually become that. Its relatively easy to play and its controls holds up to this day. I highly recommend giving this game a go now that the series is getting its first new game in almost 20 years.

El famoso Resident evil de samurais y demonios. De niño no me llamaba la atención porque pensé que era diferente. Cuanto me arrepiento de no haberlo jugado en su momento de salida en la PS2. Me hubiese encantado mas de lo que me gustó jugarlo ahora de adulto. Juegazo 10/10.

Pour moi, ce Onimusha a été une découverte, j'ai connu Onimusha avec le 2 et le 3. Bah je regrette de ne pas l'avoir connu plutôt. Une difficulté bien gérée 🟢 Graphiquement pas extra mais ça reste agréable à regarder 🟢 Un bestiaire assez complet 🟢 Il faut une bonne maîtrise pour pouvoir contrer des attaques 🟢 Le jeux et assez court 🟥 Pas la possibilité de passer les dialogues même si tu as fini le jeu plusieurs fois 🟥

Never played it before, picked it up on sale and it was well worth it. Also runs ultrawide

Sigue siendo un buen juego que mejora con los controles actualizados

Game's fun, translations are a bit janky but I would still recommend it. Not much more to say, if you can withstand the annoying static camera switches and wanna experience the OG entries before playing the newest one then come on in! For your sanity don't play on HELL though, don't know past the first few areas but I got one shot by every attack. As a challenge? Sure, have at it, as a first playthrough? NOPE, swallow your pride and go NORMAL.
