Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 25 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

great game..its old school so you need to get use tank controls and very clunky weapon changes(you need to stand to cycle the weapons :D)its also short about 6 hours...so get it better on sale...

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Baseline sentiment - I'm so thankful this classic is available on modern platforms. It runs great, controls great, looks great for 20+ year old game. I unlocked all achievements in 19 hours of play and two total playthroughs and had a ton of fun doing it. Nitpicks - 1. The decision to remaster the PS2 original game for this release and not the Xbox enhanced Genma Onimusha, which included an additional enemy, combat mechanics, more optional content, & skippable cutscenes is very disappointing. 2. I wish there were visual filters included. The pre-rendered backgrounds were originally created with older generation TV screens in mind. They look grainy and pixelated on modern monitors. 3. The text font is different from the original game and is worse in my opinion.
Generally a pretty cool, short PS2 era game. Recommend (on sale in the 1+2 pack) if you don't mind an old-school style experience and a PC port with some slight rough edges. Pros: I like the vibe, art, and music. The story is pretty sparse but does its job. A little dependent on you knowing who Oda Nobunaga is before playing to understand the complete picture I think. The different weapons are cool, I think the combat system has more depth than I personally used but the controls take some getting used to. The puzzle/adventure elements were cool and had me engaged with exploring all the rooms, doesn't get too complicated or annoying to ever get stuck but still rewarding to find and complete puzzles. Cons: PC port is ultra barebones, very few options, not even any 4K support. Couldn't find even a button to close the game. Had one issue where the game ran super slow from startup, updating drivers fixed it but just a weird issue. I wasn't on super old drivers or anything. Camera is terrible, full stop. In a game like Resident Evil, which this is clearly sort of built from, the changing angles isn't as bad since it is generally slow paced. But in this game it feels constant and annoying, and there are situations where you literally cannot react to or know what an enemy is doing because they are offscreen. As a side note I highly recommend switching to Japanese voices. I am generally a defender of English dubbing and think it mostly gets undue hate but this uses the original voice performances and they are definitely from a time when they just did not care about the quality of the dub.
Onimusha holds a special place for me, but it has also aged like milk. Weapon swapping mid game wasn't in the original, but it is here, and it's clunky. The issen system is overly punishing and highly inconsistent. The infrequent, but always annoying, "Devs wanting you to deal with long range enemies with long range tools" (Which just has me spamming the wind magic attack to kill them above me) while they also throw multiple enemies next to you never ceases to piss me off. This isn't God Of War 1 / 2 where that design felt good (Kratos is fast and responsive, Samanosuke is slow and lumbering), and made you think about the order of defeating enemies. Missable collectibles by locking off chunks of the map is lame. (Yes, I know it's linked to the story) Clunky combat. Clunky movement. Underwhelming boss fights. Unskippable cutscenes. No checkpoints. Onimusha is ROUGH, but it's also short, (beating it in under 3 hours on normal isn't difficult at all, even for someone unfamiliar with the game - unlike classic RE where you need a photographic memory to get an S rank.) If you can get it for super cheap, and you're willing to deal with some jank so you can get into a really cool series that's basically a cousin of DMC, go for it. Onimusha is a hood classic, BUT it's really isn't more than a 6.5/10, but a necessary starting point.
