Got this to make sure I was playing the physical game correctly, and thankfully I did because there were things that I had misunderstood. Having cheevs to do adds a lot of fun and replays. The more I play this game the more I like it. It hits the sweet spot of difficulty. Not too easy. Not too hard; unless you want it to be. Highly recommend.
Pros: Fun gameplay and mechanics. Cons: Controller navigation can be a little tricky at times. Conclusion: I really enjoy the game. I am happy to see a digital version. The game has a good tutorial to learn how to play along music that fits the gameplay. I recommend this game and One Deck Dungeon for card gamers.
Fun little dice placement solitaire game. Not as complicated as I thought it might be. Tutorial is excellent.
There's a TON going on in this game and I found it difficult to follow what I should do in any given situation. The tutorial/rules were helpful, but only to a point. There were several times in the game when I was presented with a mechanic, but could not figure out how to implement the mechanic. In addition, outside of one or two of the race/society combos, many of the achievements required to progress your civilization are nearly impossible within the context of the game. The implementation of the game by Handelabra is very good, however. The interface is intuitive and easily navigated. Unfortunately, the game itself is just not enjoyable to me. Just like One Deck Dungeon, it is as if the designers chose to make the most difficult version of the game that they could. Winning at either game should be considered a monumental achievement. Ultimately, I have neither the time nor desire to suffer the constant frustration to figure the game out enough to have a chance at winning. Thumbs down.
Nice stategy concept with difficult learning curve and a tutorial to make it easier to understand. After playing the game a few times, I got the hang of it. Once it prevented me to upgrade a level when I thought I had the right requirements. I don 't know if it's a glitch or that I did not understand the requirement. Overall: Nice game with great strategy potential. Recommended.
A fun but complicated game, with a lot of moving pieces. Thankfully the in-game tutorial does a great job of introducing concepts one by one and giving you the information you need to understand each. This is the first board game adaptation I've played where I hadn't played the original game beforehand, so I was very pleased with how quickly I could learn the mechanics - even if I still struggle with facing the more difficult adversaries. Compared to One Deck Dungeon, there's a lot more going on on-screen at any given time, but that also means there's a lot of ways to mitigate bad dice luck - if you roll low in this game, you have options to research or earn fleets which both can help you make progress against the adversaries. The adversaries also feel more varied, with each having their own special rules to work around. All in all it's a great game that provides a difficult but solvable puzzle each time.
Overwhelming (joke) (good) (kind of real) If you find One Deck Dungeon interesting, this feels like One Deck Dungeon had a child with Sentinels of the Multiverse, really interesting.
Very enjoyable game. Lot's of dice manipulation mechanics. Although the gameplay a lot more complex, I honestly like this better than One Deck Dungeon.
This game kinda reminds me of Sprit Island but with dice instead of decks of cards. There are decks of cards. But its mostly dice and in space. Its very very hard! Watchout! THis game is solo and you can have another player to help out.
