Story is boring, the combat is boring (basically button mash attacks/specials). Field maps are enormous and you need to wait a few chapters to get the ability to run faster... and then the maps get swarmed with a lot more enemies so it's a pain to avoid. One of the rare games I won't be finishing.
Yes.
This game is extremely fun. Cute magical girls defeating monsters with the power of music? What's not to love!
The combat is surprisingly good, and the OST is also great!~
Difficult to recommend due to severe design issues resulting in horrible game balance. Also, if you want the Platinum Trophy, be prepared to do multiple runs and min-max, or cheat. First of all, the stats you gain per level are semi-randomized, and different characters/weapons use different stats - including defensive stats and Vitality (speed) - in damage calculation. This is poor game design, but wouldn't be such an issue if not for the requirement for your characters to be right next to one another in the action sequence (with no enemies or space in between) to use Harmonics. This makes characters/weapons that use Vitality for damage a poor choice, and an example of the game's mechanics working against themselves. But that's not the biggest problem, which is the horrendous balance and the worst implementation of artificial difficulty I've seen in video games so far. In short, when there are fewer than 4 enemies alive, or when any enemy is below 50% HP, they will always break the turn order and go before you. Some of the post-game areas are next to impossible because of this nonsense, as you are often wiped out (or have all your stats reduced to 1 and be inflicted with every ailment in the game) before you even get your turn.
It is You good old IF/CH title, refreshing after Neptunia series overdose. I managed to get the normal ending, but repeating everything again was too much for me to bear. I have few criticisms about the game, which if "repaired" might had me play the second playthrough easily. Here goes: a) too many forced battles - when exploring, there is no escape, because even if you use camo blur, the monsters' collision boxes are so big, that you are effectively blocked and can not progress, unless you beat them, which is a real chore, when they are over 10k hp each mob; b) workshop system, which requires you to dissolve items in order to create something - this seems kinda stupid and unnecessary. Why this step anyway?; c) you need lots of items found on specific mobs only - you need to search for those items in monsters encyclopedia, which is a real chore every time - why not give option to text-search the item? why not give direct links to encyclopedia from workshop? why not mark areas/monsters, which drop the items you are looking for? especially in case of those crowned rare spawns? It is all such a chore and this is 20th century, make use of that computer capabilities, do not force me to write down things on paper! d) ng+ allows me to only choose certain things to carry over based on coins I have left - might sound interesting, but it is just another thing, that turns me off from playing again - I simply have not enough time in life and so many other games to try. But - all that said - this was a good experience, very nice game overall, with this added PVS idol dance mechanic, nice nice, very well done. And ofc Aria best girl.
Well, basically a power rangers + ecchi harem anime. The combat has some nice mechanic but the information is not well provided / explained. But the dungeons are too big, with slow ass walking animation 0,0. But the gurls are cute af get some points back <3

It's a fun game. Even on the hardest difficulty it is fairly reasonable. It does have a tenancy to crash so I do recommend saving often.
i missed one subquest tied to approvel rating locking me out of the true ending
