Rush Rally 3.
fun chill game. Runs great too.
i didnt like it
I'm happy to have gotten a cure for my rally itch as I don't have access to other racing games as of current. This game brings a great rush of nostalgia with cars and brands that I recognize just based off their appearances, and their performance on and off road are very unique in how you drive. Because I grew up with Sega Rally, I did have those expectations, and they were certainly met. While there aren't circuits in this game, it's still nice to see that I'm able to beat par times by a good margin, even if I end up making a few mistakes. Lots of challenging turns to make and apexes to slip through without slowing down helps give these tracks variety. The only main criticisms I have on this game are the lack of a career and some collision detections. In the sense that I treat this as a home arcade game, there isn't really any higher challenge to seek other than beating a par time. No time limit, no other racers, so the competition is very wide. As for the tracks themselves, it seems that most of them have a forward and backward course, and few of them have an actual different track than what I mentioned earlier. If there are plans to expand this game, I'm definitely on board. Overall, very nice game, I just think there can be a bit more competition to give it the thrill in coming back to.
I do give this game a thumbs up because it is exactly what the product description says: An Old School Rally Video Game that captures old school rally games in its heart. I will not quote the description too much though, i promise it seriously is what they want it to be. The visuals are good, the physics are snappy, its easy to pick up and the mastering comes naturally. Although the handbreak is obsolete, i saw no value in it hense i tested it once and never used it again. It is fun. It is simple. It is casual. But then there comes the fact that i like to do achievements. I completed the content within ~10 hours of playtime, then i noticed how much more you got to play this game in order to 100% it. You need to own all of the 32 cars and buy 15 items in the collection, this takes way too much grind. I ended up grinding the Open D Rally for many hours despite the China Super Stages being absolutely obnoxious, simply because it is the most efficient way to farm for coins. It is about 10 minutes of gameplay for 2800 coins, thats BY FAR the best you can do in this game. I will not touch this game ever again. The first 10 hours were fun, the following 10 hours were a slop and wow what a huge slop this was. Not that this game gets less fun, it stays the same, it just gets very, very, very tedious. Other than that, theres only minor issues and non of it is game breaking. The Textures of the cars look a lot worse than the screenshots and trailer show, the progression line on top of the screen is unreliable most of the time and theres A LOT of those racing game typical invisible corners all over the maps. The hunt for 100% achievement completion would have been less painful if there was some kind of procedural generated tracks since non of them are the actual tracks but rather inspired and stylized for the specific countries, i think this could work wonderfully for game like this. It absolutely is worth it. I stand by my recommendation - just be aware that its annoying for trophy hunters.
The idea is quite nice; the driving is more casual and feels kind of old-school. However, it’s a bit too easy to beat the times and therefore win rallies — it would be good to have different difficulty levels, maybe tied to a way to earn more money. There’s not enough variety in the track landscapes, and the grind to earn money becomes annoying in the end because you’ve already driven everything and maybe could only afford about 20 out of 32 cars. Gameplay is good, but not fully thought through until the end.
If you liked Sega Rally championship you'll like this, but more cars, longer rallies, longer stages. Just wish the goal times were a little more challenging. Currently completing stages 15-45 seconds faster than the goal. But, if you can challenge yourself rather than the game it is great fun and a great throwback.
Super recomendado!!
wrong calls on turns and missinng turn callouts and the car is a wall magnet
