Occlude

first 3 puzzles were simple and fun, i liked having to think about using all the features the games got, but then it became a cypher like game and that just isn't for me. i honestly feel cheated out of the money i gave for the game and the time wasted on it.

If I could give this mixed I could. I love this game I am having a ton of fun with it. However it really tries to lean on the "you have to solve it yourself" and you really don't it feels like a puzzle game where if you solve it it gets easier but otherwise you're just fidgeting over and over. I also just like playing solitare

Getting every cardinal in this game was difficult! Not in the way solitaire is normally difficult, either. I felt like a code breaker. There were some very satisfying epiphanies, especially in the west cardinals. Usually the solution feels "obvious" after you've seen it, which is really impressive. That is not an easy thing to do consistently in game design, and they really pull it off here.

Occlude jest prostą grą logiczną opartą na jednym mechanizmie. Mimo, że samo układanie pasjansa może po jakimś czasie znudzić, to chęć odkrycia zasad danego etapu skutecznie przeciwdziała rutynie. Poziom trudności zagadek jest zbalansowany na dość przystępnym poziomie, zapewnia jednak graczowi satysfakcję z jego intelektualnych osiągnięć. Grę logiczną uzupełniono całkiem klimatycznym tłem fabularnym, z którym dobrze współgra ścieżka dźwiękowa. Gra idealna na serię krótkich posiedzeń.

Solitaire with extra steps, just what I've always wanted! [b]A word of advice for new players:[/b] [i] Classic / Story are not your typical difficulty choices. You should start with Story mode and move to Classic if you want to sink your teeth in further. [/i] It would be more appropriate to call them "Campaign" and "Challenge" modes. Visuals are consistently stylish. The lore tidbits have good flavor and lovely presentation. Mechanically, I'm impressed with how much the devs squeezed out of this by making a handful of changes to classic Solitaire. It's a simple but complete package and I appreciate it for that. If you like games that keep the gears turning but don't require your constant undivided attention, Occlude is a good pick. It avoids getting repetitive - just like standard Solitaire, if not better.

This really would have been a much better game if it just layed out its rules at some point. I have more enjoyable ways to spend my time than to play "figure out the designers' intention" combined with "how the hell do I arrange the cards afterwards, in this difficult solitaire version"

A solitaire game with cosmic horror lore to make it interesting. It does what it says on the tin. Buy it.

Cool little puzzle that adds a bit of extra challenge to a fun solitaire variant. Some of the later rulesets I probably never would've figured out without looking them up but it seems it'd be verry satisfying for someone with a bit more patience!

Great game! It's Solitaire with enough twists and a story to make it really interesting.

I got addicted to this game the moment I started playing. I am enjoying it very much.
